From a tenant perspective:
This was our first time renting a home which we had planned to live in while we build our home. However the home that Corken allowed to be rented is riddled with problems, broken items, piece-mailed smoke detectors (with alarms that have gone off multiple times dispatching fire dept). The home is 30+ years old. The home was rented out for $7500 in a beautiful gated community but the home is original and the LL rented it out in its original form with plans to renovate after he moved in upon our departure. Most things don’t work, grossly stained old carpet, the home doesn’t stay cool in the summer and is above 85 degrees in the home which is completely unethical. The AC unit is too small to power the home, and the old windows allow all the heat to roll in. The LL clearly doesn’t want to spend money on the home until he moves in for renovation. We had mold growing in bathrooms and kitchen, it was truly shocking to see how filthy the home was on our move in day. We were stunned to see the condition of which Corken allowed the home to be rented in. Cameron has operated unethically by trying to to pull a shady stunt locking us into another lease and blew me off; when I confronted him with CO state law he changed his tune and retracted from his dishonest business practice.
We’ve learned we are not renters and prefer to be in control of our living environment. Our learning experience is that the LL of our rental did not care about the quality of home he had rented out but rather renting it out for tax purposes and moving in to renovate after. Corken should do a better job of ensuring a better quality rental and improve client relations.

Let me first start by saying I dealt directly with the owner, Lori herself. As a Doctor and business owner I know what it takes to run a successful business. She is dishonest, misleading and lacking knowledge to manage real estate transactions. On numerous occasions we tried to reach and communicate with Lori, but our efforts were unsuccessful. She continuously blamed the seller for her shortcomings. Even the seller himself said she was a poor listener. Keep in mind this was a $1.8 million dollar property. She withheld information about the property prior to the contact being signed. She neglected to reveal that the property had a $3 million dollar lien on it. When trying to engage in peer to peer conversation she couldn’t get the job done. After realizing they would not be able to deliver on the contact she knew they were in trouble. We tried getting ahold of Lori but the seller had fired her and we then started dealing directly with his lawyer. This was after Lori stated she would do whatever it took to make things right between us. She then tucked tail and ran. Lori’s incompetence cost me money but more importantly time. If you value your time I would look elsewhere.

Keep in mind this was the short version of the story, in actuality the situation was so much worse.

What can I possibly say about this amazing woman and her incredible team! They had everything taken care of and executed effectively to make the whole process smooth. They kept in touch with us so that we always knew what was going on and when. Lori and her team are compasionate and yet assertive in their approach, because we know the real estate market can make nor break you and if you’re with a realtor that isnt willing to go to bat for you, then you stand to lose thousands. You get what you pay for. I want to know that things are taken care of, and that is the very reason I didnt hesitate to call Lori when it was time to sell.
