We had an amazing time staying at their Moose Pond Rental. It was a great space for our family. We did run out of propane on the Fourth of July and I’m only mentioning it because I saw another review about the propane. Maybe have two tanks so there is a reserve? Overall it was an amazing experience!

Stay away from this company, you will pay for an expensive cleaning fee that obviously they charge for nothing.
We did late check in for our cabin, but next morning we noticed the cabin was not clean at all, coffee maker was dirty, also the cups.
Bed sheets was not washed, stains and dog hair all over the place. Also underwear from the last guest.

When I did my complaint they just ended up telling me that her inspector did not noticed all this things before we get in, and when I asked for my cleaning fee refund and showed the evidence, they just said that evidence is not enough, and told me next time ask for a "not pet friendly cabin"

This company is far from professionalism now, and urge a new management, because obviously some people here are not doing there work

Since I am being made out to be a difficult/scheming customer, I would like to clarify my review.
I did not ask for a refund because of the loud daily construction (Yes, there is a small mention in the fine print that it was a possibility, but it was tucked in at the bottom of the very long description)
I asked for a discount due to the fact that when we attempted to use the "clean" oven, it immediately began smoking and filled the cabin with black smoke. When I contacted the company to make sure it was safe to use, I was told I would receive a call back to let us know. No one EVER followed up on this, and since we did not know if it was safe to use or not, we decided to find other options to feed our kids. Replacing those meals was quite costly and when we asked for some sort of discount because of this issue (this issue, not the construction) we received a very rude and condescending response from management. Kristie really should not be allowed to interact with people.
I was going to leave it be, but since my character was attacked let me just add that the bedding was coated with dead gnats and the deck off the bedroom was unusable due to it being completely swarmed and infested with bugs. The bedroom curtain did not close all the way, which was problematic due to the regular traffic going past it all day. Also, the stench from the water/shower was absolutely nauseating.
Say whatever you like in response since that seems to be your MO, but this is not how paying customers should be treated. You said you did everything to accommodate us, but that is a bald faced lie. You did NOTHING to accommodate us. You couldn't even be bothered to respond to our concerns.

I’ve been using the national brands to rent in Grand Lake for over 10 years. This summer, I used GMR for the first time. What a difference!!! It was obvious someone local was overseeing our property as it was immaculately clean, kitchen was better than well stocked, and the property description was 100% accurate with no embellishments whatsoever. It was obvious GMR has a positive guest experience as a top priority, a very refreshing experience compared to what I had become used to. Will be using GMF from now on!

Wow what an experience! We are from Florida so we know nothing about winter. We loved the old-school feel of checking into Grand Mountain Rentals on the boardwalk in downtown grand lake. The ladies there were tremendously helpful! They gave us packets of information, snowshoe hikes to take, snowmobile rentals, restaurants and answered a ridiculous amount of questions that we threw at them. We stayed at a lovely cabin it was clean it had all the amenities that we needed! The town was lovely and was very relaxing.!! We are already planning our trip for next winter!!!

Oh wow, the response I just received from management regarding MY experience… please tell me more about MY experience at your location. Usually management responds with “We’re sorry to hear that, please tell us more by contacting us at…” but clearly not the case here. You discredit me because my name wasn’t on the reservation but I did in fact stay at your location, my experience was bad, but your response has made it awful. I wish your company the best, but I will not recommend anyone else to support your business based on how you deal with those who leave poor reviews. You should want to fix issues, not belittle them.

In short, this company left my party without heat during a Rocky Mountain December night, and refuses to take any responsibility or compensate us for their failure.

I spent a weekend in a cabin on Grand Lake with three friends in mid-December (my friend rented the property). The cabin was freezing cold when we entered, but after several hours after turning on the heat, the temperature had not changed. We also had no hot water and the stove was not working. There was a fireplace, but there was no wood either inside or outside to burn and no ax to chop wood with. The management office was closed, so we grabbed as many blankets and long underwear as we could and tried to sleep. Overnight, the temperature outside the cabin was in the teens.

The next morning, the friend who rented the cabin called the management company and was told that propane tanks had not been filled before our arrival, but that "that is the owner's responsibility." They said they would try to put in an emergency call to the propane company, but they did not know when a refill would happen. Luckily, the propane company was able to fill the tank that day.

When my friend who rented the cabin later asked to be reimbursed for our first night, the management company told him they would not be refunding anything, since it was not their fault that their property did not have heat in below freezing weather. They also refused to take responsibility for the fact that their property was obviously not inspected before our arrival to ensure it was ready for habitation, including propane for heat and working appliances.

The cabin itself was lovely, but the company who was hired to manage their properties failed to ensure that a basic necessity was available to us during extremely harsh conditions. Accidents and oversights do happen, but they refused to take any responsibility or reimburse us for that first night.
