I recently moved from a place that this company managed. For the most part all encounters I’ve had were exceptional and they are responsive. Thank you to Christine, Mark, Peter and Sophie for your professionalism. My bad experience did not come until move out inspection time. The maintenance manager, Jean, who also happens to be the customer service manager has very poor customer service skills. He called me after attempting to enter my apartment without notice to do a pre inspection, in which my teenage daughter was home alone at the time. I am thankful that the key actually did not work. Upon calling to inform that me he could not enter my apartment with the key, I asked him why was I not notified that he was scheduling an inspection today. He claims there was an email sent the Saturday before stating the time and date she would be there in which I never received to the day on email or paper. We scheduled an appointment and he came Wednesday for an inspection. Upon meeting my younger daughter, who is mixed with Hispanic decent he tells her that she needs to learn to speak Spanish (which is his native language, which I feel like he should not have said much to her). He did send an email after the inspection stating what needed to be done to qualify my security deposit refund. Move out day came and he calls my phone at 8am (I don’t like to conduct business calls until after 9am) asking me what time I would be out. The paper stated 12pm so I did not understand why he was calling me that early, as I just had to come back to clean up. 12pm came and Jean came back for the move out inspection. Jean said something to the under his breath of them needing “better tenants” not sure of what was specifically said but it wasn’t nice. At that point I had to walk away. He went to the window seal and fans, ran his finger across and asked was I going to clean them. I left the apartment clean and started to come back to clean them, but at the point Jean was being very rude and the smirk on his face made it seem like it was a joke to him, this is people’s lives, so at that point I was done, and left. I went on to read other reviews and see that other people have been through similar situations. I am sure I won’t get my deposit back due to dust on the window seals. Overall my experience was really good with this company, but Jean ruined the end. I truly felt antagonized by him.

The Yale Heavyweight Crew Team has been renting with Farnam for 10 years now and I have to say that their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly sets them apart. Would highly recommend!

I am on the Crew team and we rent a house with Farnham. Their team is amazing and I have no bad experiences. Carol has been especially amazing. She has made us able not just to have a house so close and convenient to campus and the gym, but a place to call home!

Currently a tenant. Property management does not adhere to the lease nor repair maintenance request. I have had a ceiling leak for a while now and what was done was change the ceiling tile which hasn’t stopped it from leaking and after I said said something about that a foam spray was done and maintenance told me he would contact management and let them know a plumber needs to come out since it is still leaking. My property manager Sophie has now stopped replying to my emails (it’s been almost 2 weeks with no reply) regarding the several complaints I have made so I am currently looking into taking further action.

I have been leasing an apartment from this company for almost a year. They were very responsive at first and were quick to get me and my partner signed in our lease. Since then in is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with anyone from this company. Calls go unanswered for days. No one ever picks up the phone when you call. You go to the office and it’s a ghost town, waiting upwards to 10 minutes before someone notices youre there. As a tenant, you feel like nothing but an inconvenience to this company. When I first moved in I wasn’t given the right keys. My leasing agent, Josh James, wasn’t even in the office to give me my keys when we agreed on a time to meet at the office. The property's yard work is not maintained. I’ve only seen someone cut the grass once. It’s now the week before thanksgiving and no one has been here to pick up the leaves. Causing extra hazards because of the dry conditions & no rain. The property looks practically abandoned. Not to mention they have one maintenance man who just shows up whenever he wants to when you need something repaired, no proper notice given when coming to make repairs. The professionalism that this company swears it’s built on and have such a great team is nothing but a show. None of these good reviews are honest reviews.

I believe I speak for the whole Heavyweight Crew team when I say that we could not be happier with our accommodation on on Lake pl. It is all thanks to the lovely team at Farnam Realty who allow us to have such a nice and convenient place to live and gather.
