I usually only review good places on google. But this place is making me write my 1st bad review.

I have been coming here for the past 7 years to do my taxes after my ex coworker told me about Igor & how good he was to do taxes.

Me & my Husband during the years we notice we kept owing the IRS & seem like balance wouldnt go down. I decided to tell igor to help us track our balance. He suggested i download the Appt IRS2Go.

Once we downloaded it showed we havnt done taxes for 3 years. So i ask igor, if he did send them. He Said Yes.
I wasnt convience so i decided to call IRS Department. They told me they didnt received those 3 years. So i went back to igor. He sent them registered mail.
After that i got mail from IRS went back with him to help solve the next step. & this is wen i got really upset. He wouldnt answer the phone. I would go, it was closed. I would leave Voicemessages no call backs. "Turn out he was out of town. "

So finally i got a hold of him. He said make an appt to the IRS department but do the appt once im back from a mini vacation.. i did just wat he requested.
The day of the IRS appt i arrive downtown & call him because i dnt see him. & his receptionist answer & said hes busy hes not going. I told her Whatt!!!!!!
He said he was coming. I need him to fix the mess. She said sorry he didnt call you. & i hung up. I went to the appointment. & my Taxes are a mess. Turns out theres FRAUD & Identity Theft!!!
DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE.

NO RECOMIENDO ESTE LUGAR, ES DE LO PEOR. VE A OTRO LUGAR DONDE SI AGAN TIEMPO PARA TUS TAXES, YA KE LES ESTAS PAGANDO. Y NO ES GRATIS EL SERVICIO. MUY MAL SERVICIO.

Horrible!!!!! I did my taxes with Igor for about 5 years, as the previous post said he is very defensive and aggressive, in fact stopped serving my in laws due to "calling to much and too many questions ". I then asked him to complete a settlement agreement with the irs for my husband. He sat on them for over a year. And now that they are finally settling up with a new tax person, who does their job accordingly, he let me know not only did Igor sit on the job, he also did zero deductions on the ONE year he did complete and was also hanging on to the completely wrong paperwork which caused the while process to be delayed again!! Also had to make him pay me back the $1100 I paid up front for NOTHING! had to chase him down for it, and he also has new staff weekly die to his nasty attitude, pleaseeee protect yourself and stay far away from this fraud!! Oh yeas and last thing: Igor also charged me 300 to 500 a year for "protection " in case anything he claimed got questioned, which I later found out was also untrue, just stay far away from this guy!

I made an appointment with them last week for the 6th of February for my taxes. I told them I would like a phone appointment and was told that is fine. I let them know a co-worker referred me and she has been doing phone appointments with them as well.

So yesterday 02/06/24, my appt was at 4:30pm. I never got a call, so I called the phone line listed online and no one answers. I go to my e-mail and call Igor and finally get him on the phone to tell him I have an appt with Shelia and still haven’t heard anything. He says okay, a phone appt., which I confirmed by saying yes and he says he will let her know.

Now, it’s 5pm and I’m confused, called him back and he did not answer so tried the landline and ask them what is going on. I had an appt at 4:30pm and still haven’t heard from Shelia. She says oh they are printing it out the forms you sent now. And then says they need another form from last year taxes (why would they not tell me when I called to make the appointment in the first place, instead of waiting until after my appointment time) I then asked, so what time will the appt. be then? Which the lady says, 5 and I say it’s 5:04pm and then she says 6:30pm. I tell her that is just ridiculous two hours after the scheduled appointment. At this point I told them to forget it and I’ll go elsewhere.

This place is extremely disorganized and it’s clear they don’t communicate with one another. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I could give them no stars, I would.

We have been calling for weeks! We gave you all our tax info and it was never filed. Now we are late and no one is returning our calls. We have been calling daily for weeks! Last time we actually spoke to someone they told us Igor was in Mexico. But our taxes would be filed. What is going on?
Not only that but the past years you filed for us have caused the IRS to come back and say we owe a few thousand!

Terrible!!!! Two years of refund, that to this date hasn't being received. Cuase of identity theft, And yet we went to talk to Igor, to ask questions the first thing he reacts so defensive and aggressive. Terrible place im so surprise there still operating, scaming people of the hard earn refund. Same situation as other reviewers, of someone else filing our taxes.

*It’s 2023 already and still haven’t gotten my tax return!*

Horrible place to do taxes at. If I could I would give them a 0!! My dad has been doing his taxes with him for years and never had an issue. So I decided to do mine with him as well. It was a Big Mistake! I've never had issues with my taxes. Now this year I still haven't received my refund and it's almost August. IRS is saying they have no record of my filing. Just like the other reviewer I was told the same story which is that "someone" had filed taxes with my identity before I filed so IRS said there was duplicate returns.

I have used Campos for the last 6 years and have always had a good experience until this year. I went 5 weeks without receiving my Federal refund and when I checked with the IRS, they had no record of my filing. I tried to get in touch with Campos for many days and finally got a hold of them and was told someone had filed taxes with my identity before I filed so the IRS said there were duplicate returns. Campos had me come in and sign papers to be sent to the IRS, nonchalantly saying this has happened to a lot of people this year. A month later and I have not heard anything from the IRS but have had a lot of fraudulent activity with my SSN and checking account (from the account provided to Campos for Direct Deposit), losing $1000s, in addition to not receiving my refund. Talked to two other people who also use Campos who have had an identical experience.

Beware, your data is likely not safe with Campos. While they do an incredible job trying to get everyone their maximum refund, at what cost?
