There wasn't any immediate availability for an appointment when I had initially looked, so went in without one. About a 45 minute wait to get called up. There's plenty of seating and the office itself is clean. Once called, it was a pretty easy in and out. The staff here is generally friendly. Free parking out front in the lot is available, which immediately made it a better option than the Yonkers location. Office is located on the 4th floor.

What a blessing! Went today with my elderly parents to assist them. There was parking, seating, empty, security guard was helpful and friendly. Only had to wait for 15 min before we were called and got our issues resolved. 30min tops in and out.

The guy who served me was very polite, but he was not allowed to fix the mistake they made. He asked help to a supervisor who was only able to say to me “we have rules”. They associated my SSN with somebody else’s parents names!! And when I asked them to correct it they asked for the original copy of my birth certificate. Now I did have a certified copy together with other 5 different documents to support proof of name (mine and my parents). So I guess they have rules, like the lady said. But they didn’t have rules when they put some random name’s on my SSN. “Have your mom mail it to you”, assuming that it’s no big deal right? I am from Italy and she lives there but we moved over the years. So She will only have to drive 5 hours to get the original copy because of a mistake they made and are not able to fix. Last thing, at the very end they handed me a paper and asked me if everything was correct…these 2 random names were still there ? I absolutely understand rules, but a manager/supervisor should be competent enough to fix something like this, understanding that a written rule is not always what works because at this point it feels more like a “I don’t want to deal with this problem”

I had a good experience but had low expectations. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars was I had to wait in line and I'm just coming off ankle surgery and there was no way for me to sit and wait.

Went to this office yesterday. I have only two words to describe my visit. Efficient and Pleasant. It is great when you can get both. I was in and out in about 15 minutes and everyone was friendly and helpful.

It's a government office, so if you gotta go there, you gotta go there. But I thought I'd make it known that it can be a good experience.
The place is easy to find, and though a bit cramped, the parking lot is sufficient. When I got to the door, two big beefy security guards stepped in the doorway, which was kind of intimidating, lol, but they were actually very nice and helpful. One of them asked me where I was from and what I needed, then proceeded to give me very clear instructions on what to do from there. It was a random weekday morning and there were only a couple of other people there, so I only had to wait a minute to be helped. The lady at the desk was also nice, and processed my request quickly.
I was worried that this errand would be a p.i.t.a., but it was quick, easy, and pleasant! Hopefully yours will be as well. 🙂

Needed to get a replacement SS card. Was in and out very quickly. Parking is very convenient. Wait time was less than 10 minutes.

Office interior is probably what you’d expect for a government office. We’ll just say it’s, “Early DMV.”

Person was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was at the window for less than 5 minutes. Could not have been any easier. I was impressed enough to take a survey card and mailed it in so she could be properly recognized.

My experience was the complete opposite of the stereotypical government bureaucracy.

In everyday life, we have to be patient. During the pandemic, this social security office helped me quickly and efficiently. I was astounded at the customer service and the care that I received for simply missing myself so security card. There was genuine concern for all the necessary steps and documentation to expedite this process. Even the follow up call was terrific. I felt as if there was genuine concern for the outcome to be quick and effecient. Who could ask for anything more? With all public offices, patience is golden! The service this office earns 5 gold stars from me.
