We went on the Crab and Rockfish combo. Took our 3 kids aged 6-8. Kids didn’t have a bad moment; action packed the whole time. Limits for us all. Super helpful deckhands showed the kids how to do it properly. Son says that “it was the best day of my life”. Psyched!

Trip started off great with catching our limit of Rockfish with captain Chuck. Problem started after that. My wife and I didn’t want any Halibut because we already had a lot to take home so we just wanted the other clients to catch what halibut they wanted. Long story short we were forced to continue halibut fishing even after telling the captain we wanted to fish for something else. He said the owner didn’t allow that and we continued to fish Halibut. 2:00pm came around and all the clients wanted to go in. The captain said that he would go back in at 3-3:30 even though all his clients didn’t want to stay any longer. At 2:44 the captain said we would be leaving in 10 minutes but still continued to put new bait on. Finally at 3:09 we made the 2 hour trip back to Seward. The sad part is that 7 halibut were kept but none were taken by the clients. The other group did have 3 of the 7 filleted but ended up giving them away. If you want to feel like you’re in a prison on the water go with Chuck and the Outer Coast. This wasn’t how we wanted our dream vacation to end. I do not recommend fishing with this company.

Outer Limits is absolutely amazing. Such a great captain and crew and a great vessel. They work hard to make sure you are in the best spots, right on top of the fish. I could not recommend them more.
