This management company is shady… to being with, they lied about the square footage on the apartment listing (they put 1200sqft when in really the space is around 800sqft) We got over that, but during our time living in one of their properties, even tho they would respond to our maintenance requests, nothing was ever fixed. We sent at least 4 request for them to fix the washer and dryer ( just 1 of each for at least 8 units and we still needed to pay with coins almost $2 for using these really old appliances) until we left on Sugudt of this year, they never fixed or add new washer and driers. Lastly, we were trying to renewed our lease with them, but they never got back to us and we got lucky so we moved to another place (thanks god). They had an outrageous cleaning check out list that we followed and left the space cleaner that when we first got there and they still had the audacity to take most of our security deposit (from $1400 they return $600) for the most random things. We dispute it and got some of our money back but not all… they are waiting for you to forget about it and not fight for what is yours. Terrible company, very shady! Go to Yelp and see all the bad reviews that go all the way back to 2014! I would give 0 star if I could.

I would not recommend using this property management company to anyone. First of all, the townhome was advertised to us as 1,200+sqft, and it turned out to actually be only 890sqft.

Also, they kept more of security deposit than they were supposed to and I had to threaten brining them to small claims court to get the proper amount of my security deposit back.

There will also be an additional fee of $30-40 on your monthly rent for a “resident benefit package” that you are not able to opt out of. You can have the fee slightly reduced if you have your own renters insurance, but you are still stuck paying an additional $30+ every month for essentially nothing.

Additionally, they said they had onsite laundry, but that consisted of only 2 washers and 2 dryers for 8 townhomes Costing $1.50 per load. And to make that situation even worse, only 1 of the dryers was functional for most of my time there. I hope they’ve replaced those by now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they start charging residents even more for the laundry to make up for the cost of buying new appliances.

Avoid at all costs.

They are so kind, easy to get a hold of, EXTREMELY responsive for any issues we have - and just overall a 10/10 experience. My experience with this company are rude employees, who are hard to get a hold off, often weeks would go by without any type of response. Trying to jack up rent with hidden fees in ridiculously long 50 page contracts. Increasing utility bills for things that don’t work properly and they aren’t willing to fix. Telling us we need to pay extra for a renters benefit package that was full of things my partner and I already had ( renters insurance, identity protection from a company we already used). Prime example of being rude and unprofessional would be looking at the responses they give to people who gave low reviews. These are the prime examples of land-leeches.

Being a property manager is not an enviable position to be in but Associated Brokers Realty did a great job trying to keep me, as the tenant, happy. I could tell they were also fulfilling their responsibility to the owner of the house I was renting, but they were great at understanding where I was coming from and did a great job acting as mediator between me and the owner. They were quick to respond when maintenance or repairs were needed and I really felt that they were looking out for my best interest as a tenant. That is very comforting to know when you are renting a home and I really appreciated it.
