I live abroad and asked Julie Yochum to sell a property I own. She visited the house and told me it had many problems (rotten wood, stained ceilings, needed painting, etc) but that her husband who is a contractor could work on it. She charged me $3800. When the house wouldn't sell I took it off the market and appointed a property manager. What the manager showed me in photos was appalling! The job supposedly done by Julie's Husband was substandard, and when confronted, she agreed to repay me $800, money she still has not repaid. Given the condition of the house, and the work done by her husband, Mrs Yochum , as my representative should not have accepted the work. But both, Mrs Yochum and her husband took advantage of an absentee owner. The behaviour of Mrs Yochum was unprofessional and unethical. When I complained to her boss, he dismissed my complaints. If you don't want similar experience, stay away from this company!!! Julie Yochum is not only dishonest, but without any dignity at all!!!

This business manages the Florida Keys vacation rentals company. You have to pick up your rental keys from this location, and I have no other way of leaving a review.

We stayed at Sparky's Landing in Marathon. We were taken back by how dirty the house was. There was hair and a used razor in spare bathroom. It was dusty and dirty all over the house. To make it worse, there were no cleaning supplies, 2 trash bags to last us for our two week stay, and we had to wash the sheets in all bedrooms because it was obvious they weren't clean. We had to buy all of the stuff needed to clean the house, and we pay a $300 cleaning fee that is clearly getting used for something else.

We were excited to go, but we will not be back.

This has been the worst buying experience that we have ever had buying real estate (and we buy quite a bit). We were told about a closing delay only when we called for wiring instructions. The Sellers had not closed an open permit and code violation with the town. We had to cancel/change all plans, insurance and other commitments for the original closing date. And then we were told tomorrow everyday for 15 days. The permit and code were closed at the last possible moment according to the contract and then the Seller demanded that we close immediately. We asked for ONE week due to the Thanksgiving holiday and a major family medical problem and they refused! This forced us to close remotely and change insurance effective dates among other things for the multiple times and without a final walk through. Our attorney was fabulous but advised us that the Seller (who is a Caldwell Banker employee) was being so unreasonable that this whole deal could end up in court. To avoid that situation we agreed to jump through the hoops again with the insurance company, electric company, water company and more. We will NEVER purchase another property through Caldwell Banker, Brian Schmitt or Sam Williams.

My family signed a contract and paid their deposit on a rental for the 2018 season. They cashed the check then Barb McGee cancelled their contract in favor of another person! Office manager in Marathon basically said "tough" and refused to make it right. This company does NOT honor a valid contract! Buyer beware!

My experience was very different from that of other reviewers. We rented a Key Colony Bch home via agent Barb McKee in June 2017. Barb was responsive and clear on details. The home was immaculate and the Club membership a lovely amenity. Perhaps the BBQ propane tank could be checked to make sure it is full for the next guest. Ours was but we were told, that if it was empty, we would have to take it somewhere to be filled. Although we would have been reimbursed for a fill up, it would have meant an interruption to take it somewhere for filling in an otherwise wonderful stay.

Don't waste your time. Total waste of over a year. Made a full price cash offer and it fell through on their end. The realtor had no idea what she was doing. They introduced me to a contractor that after checking has been party to lawsuits over 30 times in the last five years.

Very unprofessional !!! Back door dealings that only benefits themselves and the local players in the keys. This is how they acquire their properties I would not let these people list my property. They manipulated me out of the property with treats from their lawyer. Very shady company with one thing in mind ," Take your property. ALL out of town owners BE WARE They suck.
