Well...Destination Real Estate is NOT THE PLACE TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH IN ANY WAY ! I would highly recommend Not renting a property, apartment or house with them. They are out to screw you over. They have a contract that requires you to vacate on the last day of the month, at noon, you pay rent for the entire month. Then they want to charge you a $50 an hour fee for every hour you are over that noon deadline. The people they get to clean between tenants, do a terrible job, but that's not a problem, because YOU are paying them, not Destination Real Estate. When I moved in, Destination Real Estate had the house "Cleaned and carpets vacuumed, by their people. I had to re-clean the house for 2 weeks to get the grunge off of everything. I had to re-carpet clean the carpets with my own carpet cleaner because of the poor job that was done. The AC filter had not been replaced in YEARS.... It looked like a cat had been sleeping with the filter... Nasty...The Property Manager Meridee is an inconsiderate, non giving person, only out to get all of your $2400 damage deposit from being returned to you. When I was moving out, she showed up at the house at 2 pm, complaining that I was not out and that it would be a $50 an hour charge. I told her that I would be out by midnight, and have the entire house clean and carpet vacuumed. She stated that she is going to have the carpet cleaned with her people regardless and going to charge me $125 to have them do it. The new tenets where not moving in until the 8th... Meridee gave them credit for 1 day, instead of charging them for the entire month. Which was a credit of $80, Meridee charged me for my delay, $350. Meridee also trumped up charges and charged me for repair work that was there BEFORE I moved in. You see how she operates!... Do Not be associated with Destination Real Estate in anyway, you will regret it! The New Tenants have been calling me and telling me of how Maradee is screwing them over, and they aren't even moved in yet:)

Before you rent through this property management please be fully aware that her husband and other people that work with her go on and put fake reviews to make their ratings go up this has been an issue with quite a few property managements in this town so be careful dive deeper .It's sad that people like to take advantage of renters like this for their own personal gain. Owners that allow this property management to take over their unit will let it go to poop be careful with that too. Like I said again it's sad that anybody would do this to anybody because people work really hard and people are starting to get really angry and although they're doing this because of the landlord tenant rights in this state of Florida are horrible for tenants that's going to change cuz I'm going to fight it .I'm going to fight this law in Florida which allows horrible property Management or good ones for that matter to hike on fees on top of the deposits so all those fees and people are complaining about they legally can do which is absolutely disgusting because you're already getting a deposit already getting a pet deposit their pets and you're already overcharging for crap units so it's very heartbreaking because then it causes stress on very good people most of the time of course I understand that there's always a few renters out there that don't understand that you should show as much respect for what you rent as you own but with that being said there is a thing called karma and I will continue to fight for the rights of tenants I won a tenant landlord fight back 24 years ago in this town of Tallahassee when my son was 2 years old because I rented a unit and they allowed the bedroom to flood consistently cuz it was a basement apartment I asked him to fix it or get me in a different unit and they would not do that so I went to a lawyer and the lawyer then gave them the option of either fixing the issue with the fact that I couldn't sleep in the bedroom because it flooded all the time I mean constantly I had to sleep in the living room or I could get reduction on my rent which is what happened I I won by $250 off my rent.DO NOT forget that you have rights as a tenant to some degree even though in Florida it is pretty hard and they have given landlords just the free-for-all on crapping on tenants but you still do have rights you just have to fight hard for it it may take a while you may have to move out you may have to dish out some money at your rental until it goes through you may not get that money back for a while but keep fighting because if we don't start standing up for what's wrong with these horrible horrible property management and managers/reps of said horrible property managers then they will continue to get away with being horrible again I will end with the only thing that can maybe send you guys up a little is that there is a cycle of Life of karma and people that do karmatically wrong things will pay for it in this life or next.. it's really with you all the best I know it's not easy keep your all chins up and remember that most of the management companies that have a five-star rating are lying it's not a five star rating or a four-star rating or three and a half star rating it's all a lie it's them putting in trying to raise at the ratings another one is property team management or now they're called proper team Management they have a 4.2 star rating a year ago they had a 2.5 star rating just so you know yes they do go on and put in fake reviews they actually even hire people on just to do that all day... Loving light to all!!💗

I worked with Meridee to purchase a multi family family property in Tallahassee. The timing wasn’t the best as I was having surgery the day my offer got accepted.

Needless to say, we still managed to close within 3 weeks, because Meridee stayed on top of everything and was engaged throughout the process with my lender and other relevant parties to a mortgage.

I love that she never forced anyone on me, but provided a list of options in each category (survey, insurance, inspection, plumbing etc.) and was open to me using those not connected with her.

I’ve since closed and she’s now my property manager, and I’m so happy to continue working with her.
