RENTER BEWARE!!! If you are interested/looking to rent from ANY of the locations under this real estate company please be sure to read this review. I have never left a review in my life and am doing so to hopefully save someone from signing themselves into living in chaos. Firstly, this company use to be a well run and organized establishment. My parents rented from the first owners of Ditchkus in the 80s, before it then was taken over by what seems to be their son. I unfortunately have rented with the current landlord who is cheap, a liar, and wildly unprofessional. We rented with Ditchkus for over three years, with having a previous two years experience renting elsewhere, and our first apartment with them was carelessly painted, with terrible insulation and cracked windows. We decided to move into a larger space with them, due to us not having any direct issues with the landlord in our first two years. They showed us 1048 EAST BROADWAY 2ND FLOOR, Milford CT. I had a strange feeling about the neighbors on the first floor, as this is a two story family home, and asked if the realtor knew anything about these tenants or if they ever had complaints filed against them. The realtor said multiple times they were a quiet middle aged couple. THIS IS SO FAR FROM THE TRUTH. After two months of living there, we realized that the couple below were miserable, alcoholic, and constantly screaming to the point they would call the police on each other, on top of the ambulance showing up because of intoxication three times a month. We had to also call the police due to them screaming and slamming doors, even after we asked them to quiet down. Not only were they wildly disruptive, but the woman also on multiple occasions almost hit my car in the shared drive way. Through this entire period we had contacted the Ditchkus office and the landlord directly, receiving the response 'we are aware of the situation and handling it'. Long story short the police and ambulance continued to come, the woman would come upstairs belligerent and intoxicated and harass us through our windows and doors, and the landlord still did nothing, even after us sending proof through videos! When I called the landlord directly to complain he threatened to evict us and then all together stopped responding to us. We also found out from multiple next door neighbors that they were aware of how terrible these tenants below us were because they have been there 14 years!! Eventually we luckily found somewhere else to live ONE YEAR later... and the sad part is as soon as we told the landlord we were moving out they tried to sell that terrible apartment to one of our close friends, selling it as 'a great two bedroom near the beach'... Moral of the story is, this real estate company is just as good as the landlord, don't be fooled into signing a lease with them especially not for this address.

I have rented from Ditchkus Reality for roughly 4 years and I cannot say enough about my landlord. They are wonderful. The property that I rent is my dream come true! Fort Trumbull Beach is amazing to say the least and if I did not find Ditchkus Reality to rent from then I would have never been able to live in such a great area in milford.
