We have had EC Waters as our HVAC contractor for many years. Until recently we would have given them a 5 star review. In 2018 they replaced our AC unit including refrigerant lines, approximately a $6,000 job. As far as we knew, all was done to code & well done. They had provided good customer service, appeared honest and pricing in line. Recently things have changed. They are a different company, now run by a new owner, Steve Waters. He is the son of former owner, Clark Waters who has retired. It is our understanding Jason Oldson helps Steve now run EC Waters.
In November, 2024 we had a new roof put on our home. In the process a 2.5” roofing nail hit the refrigerant line. This was part of the system installed by EC Waters in 2018. By code in 2018, this refrigerant line should have been 6” below the attic sheathing. Obviously, had it been, a 2.5” roofing nail would never have pierced the line. We immediately placed a call to EC Waters & shut the system off. They very promptly responded to the call, soldered the nail hole, & added 9 lbs. of R-410A refrigerant per their invoice for $1,613.20, (1,213.20 was for refrigerant). They refused to take any responsibility for their work from 2018 that now appears was not done to code. Jason told me I could not hold them responsible for work done 6 years ago. Advised it was a very tight space & they did the best they could. The next day in a conversation with Steve Waters, he also refused to accept any responsibility for what happened. It is their opinion that our roofer punctured a hold in the refrigerant line. We/the customer called them for repair and they promptly came & made the repair. End of story.
We owe them $1,613.20. Refrigerant at $134.80/pound It appears this refrigerant should run $50-$90/pound, and we had a maintenance plan with this company at the time.
I have held off until now posting this review as last November I requested a refund of the half of the maintenance plan that had not been used. I finally received it in February, 2025.

I had another air conditioning company come out and tell me I needed to replace my entire system, air handler, condenser and thermostat and I just knew that couldn't be right. So when EC Waters came out, their technician showed me the build up inside my condensate pump that was causing the system not to run and I ended up just needing a cleaning. They definitely went above and beyond. I was so grateful and they saved me a lot of money. I even signed up for their maintenance plan.

I had my preventative maintenance appointment today from EC Waters and Tim was the technician that came out. He’s the best. He’s knowledgeable and thorough and checks everything and he’s efficient and friendly.
I will always request him for my 2 annual appointments.

Von Johnson from EC Waters did an outstanding job cleaning our AC evaporator and blower! He was patient, polite, and very personable, taking the time to explain everything and ensure the job was done right. It’s rare to find someone as thorough and professional. He had his apprentice Austin with him and they both did a great job. Will use for annual service in the future.

E C Waters Air Conditioning is a fantastic company! We wanted a mini-splitter installed so we contacted E.C. Waters to request an estimate, within 24 hours we had a written proposal. Once we made a final decision we were contacted that the equipment had been ordered and would be scheduled for installation the following week. To our surprise the equipment arrived earlier than predicted and Melissa called to schedule a quicker installation. I was called by the install technician, Donald, to let me know they were on their way exactly as Melissa had told me the techs would do. Donald and Austin, the install techs, were professional when they arrived and continued to demonstrate professionalism throughout the installation. They used drop cloths to ensure they didn’t track dirt into my house or allow installation debris to be impacted into my carpeting. In addition, they cleaned up the installation area inside and out once the install was complete. The installation was completed efficiently and Donald, the tech, ensured I had all the associated paperwork for the equipment and provided a quick instruction session the operation of the mini-splitter.

I was pleasantly surprised when the company owner, Steve, and Jason, the Comfort Specialist dropped by just to ensure I was pleased with the installation and equipment and to make sure their techs had not experienced any difficulties during the installation.

I can’t say enough positives about the entire experience! Thank you to everyone who was instrumental in making this a great experience!

Technicians came out today , they gave me a courtesy call 30 min before they arrived. They informed me of what the process was for the day, answered all of my questions, and upon completion went over the entire unit inside and out and explained to me what things were and how they worked. Technicians we're also polite and made sure to clean up before they left. Entire experience was terrific and I would certainly recommend EC Waters to anyone.

We have had a relationship with E.C. Waters, specifically Tim, since 2009, when lighting struck our AC system, and we contracted the company to install a new unit and ducting for our home. Our 15-year relationship speaks to the professional, kind, and personable service we have received and continue to receive from them. We have a year-to-year maintenance contract that is reasonably priced, and that brings them out twice per year to check our entire system. These routine maintenance services have been crucial to keeping our system in top shape and running smoothly. Again, we have had the same technician, Tim, who is terrific at his job and as a person. His attention for 15 years gives us complete confidence in our cooling and heating. When it is time for a new system, we will look no further than E.C. Waters and know that Tim will make it perfect.
