I had been planning my return to Southwest Florida for well over 10 years.

I began talking with Chandler, the owner of, and lead agent at Florida Life Realty early August of 2020, a full 10 months prior to when I planned to move.

From the very beginning, Chandler made it clear our needs came first. While this is something often said, Chandler’s attitude and actions absolutely backed it up - from day one through the end.

I knew we would arrive in Sarasota during the beginning of June. Due to the pandemic travel restrictions commuting the 700 miles to view houses in Sarasota just wasn’t possible.

Chandler provided us access to Stellar MLS allowing us to view home listings in the area. During April Chandler started touring properties at our behest. He would record videos - neighborhood, outside and inside of the home, pointing out all of the features, and potential issues.

Prior to moving we placed offers on 5 homes - each of them thought out, calculating price per square foot based from recent comps, adjusting for necessary repairs. As we left North Carolina, though none of our offers were accepted, we felt each was appropriate for the property and were confident we would find the perfect house with Chandler.

Upon arriving in Sarasota we spent every day with Chandler viewing properties in Palmetto, Parrish, Ellenton, Bradenton and Sarasota. When we weren’t out looking we were scouring new listings.

Unlike so many realtors Chandler is not interested in making a sale just to make the sale. He truly wants to find the perfect home. He never shied away from giving us his honest feedback.

Buying a home in this area can be tricky anytime due to environmental factors that cause home degradation if not properly constructed or when issues arise and are not promptly addressed. Chandler has a keen eye for spotting issues and thusly helping buyers avoid costly mistakes.

House hunting in this market is tough, typically houses only remain on the market days which requires diligence and an agent that understands values, what repairs cost, presenting an offer that is as appealing as possible to the seller and their agent - often employing creative offer strategies, such as utilizing escalation clauses.

After spending almost 2 weeks looking at houses every day, Chandler received a call indicating a house we had submitted an offer on 6 weeks prior could move forward if we wished. After going under contract with the initial buyer, the deal fell alloweing us to step in because we had an appropriately attractive offer.

We immediately agreed and booked a time to see the home in person for the first time. We loved the home even more in person than when we viewed the videos and chose to move forward.

A good realtor will have built relationships with other agents and businesses in the area - that is absolutely the case with Chandler. Chandler had trustworthy inspectors who came promptly and provided accurate detailed reports which he used in negotiating for needed repairs and credits.

Due to not living in the area for many years, Chandler has been able to recommend every business we have needed - AC repair, duct cleaning, lawn care, pool care and refinishing, pest removal and remediation, several local lenders, a home owners insurance agency, a title agency, an attorney to handle escrow and closing.

Every time we needed anything, if Chandler didn’t know who to recommend right away he would diligently research who was best and let us know within hours.

Choosing a realtor is an important decision. By choosing the right agent, not only will it result in the difference of thousands of dollars but it will save you mass amounts of time and stress. Now that my buying experience with Chandler and the team at Florida Life Team Realty is complete, I can say, without question, they are phenomenal.

While there are other realtors with more experience and larger brokerages, you will absolutely not find a team who cares more about your individual needs and ultimately finding you your dream home!
