We rented for a year and were wanting to rent another year. Unfortunately life happens and on the 27th of September my boyfriend lost his job and I had just started a new career a week prior. I could not see signing up for a lease not knowing if we could afford it, so I notified James immediately the same day. I believe they wanted us to stay because we were always on time with rent and never late. However, all he seemed to care about was charging us for Octobers rent. This was September 27th, prior to this, the gas had to be shut off due to a huge leak two weeks prior. It’s oct 12th, the gas is still shut off. We were going weeks without hot water or a way to cook. Genesis didn’t even offer to compensate the fact we had to shower elsewhere and we had to order food instead of cooking which also cost money. I believe the law says a landlord has 10 days to fix a major issue or let you out of your lease. We did not clean said property because I knew they were going to keep the deposit anyway. It’s october 12th, we notified we were moving on the 27th of Septembsr and they are still adding late fees and such to our account every day. James stopped answering our text. im shocked that a company is so heartless

Worst rental property management I’ve ever had to deal with. Angie was horrible to deal with, she always had an attitude and was never helpful or reachable. They don’t maintain their properties at all. I never used the garbage disposal throughout my tenancy because it never worked. I couldn’t take a bath without it leaking through the ceiling into the downstairs from a shady repair they previously did. Don’t expect to get your deposit back at all because they will keep every bit of it. They claimed I had a dog in the house when I don’t even own a pet and never had one in the house. Charged me for a garbage disposal that never worked my entire residency even though I notified them that it didn’t work. All landscaping and interior of the house was well maintained when I lived there and I got less than 10% of my security deposit back. Genesis reality management will find a way to make your life miserable. Don’t waste your time renting from them!!!!

Rented a house for only a year. Our prop manager James was great with communication and things we needed. We cleaned the entire house w/help and used our own carpet cleaner in each room however a cleaning fee + carpet cleaning was deducted from my deposit. I've rented out many homes and have never not received my full deposit back.

I was a tenant with Genesis for about 2 years. When we moved in the property was in excellent shape except for a few minor issues. These were addressed in a timely manner. I have had great communication with the company throughout our 2 years.

Both Ian and Dan were great to work with and I found them very responsive. Also the rent was fair during my stay and when I extended they did not increase. You won't find two more honest and fair guys.

Most importantly when I moved out they did not nit pick every item. We cleaned the house and the carpets and received a full refund of our deposit in 15 days. This has always been a sticking point and an issue at other rentals.

If I had the opportunity I would definitely rent with them again.

Applied for a property that I didn’t make enough money for, but Angie took it upon herself to show me other homes I would be qualified for. I found a nice house, and getting everything signed was super fast and completely convenient. I’ve had a couple issues in the house since I’ve been here, and she has been quick to respond, to send someone to resolve, and to follow up. Nothing is perfect when it comes to property management, however she has made it a great experience. Thanks!

We loved our house when we first moved in around January 2020. Things quickly changed. Within the first month things were falling apart. All of the towel rods and toilet paper holder in the the restrooms fell off. You could see they were poorly replaced from the previous tenants. After several attempts to get someone down to fix them (because we were CLEARLY told we couldn’t do ANY repairs ourselves) no one came. After an item fell from the cupboard above the stove and shattered the ‘ancient’ glass top stove they replaced with another. No mention of this being taken out of our deposit was ever mentioned. Ever! After living in the home for 3 years you get the normal wear and tear of a well lived in home, parts of paint were missing from the wall and we were CLEARLY told not to paint or make any repairs. The repair man even told us these are minor and don’t affect your deposit. We were charged a ridiculous amount for repainting (due to there not being any matching paint on property)
We followed the contact to a T at the end of our time in this home. We had a company come out to deep clean carpets, all blinds were replaced, light bulbs and even a cleaning crew to make the house sparkle. All of this meant nothing. The house was clearly move in ready after we left because it was back on the market in less than a week. They had it on the market before even sending out our deposit. They were always planning on taking our deposit. With a $1300 deposit we were given back $300. I am baffled at the lack of care this company offers the tenants and the homes. I hope this reaches someone before they get dragged into business with this company. They will take your money and give you nothing in return. Beware!! They are bad people.

We have rented from Genesis for 4 years now going into 5th year, they have almost always responded in a timely manner for repairs. Daniel has responded several times in a professional and respectful manner, Ian has always responded professionally and respectful way to me as well, I've not had issues with Angie our property manager although I've not really spoken to her often. she does seem to take a while to respond but We have appreciated them all very much! and want to wish them all the Happiest of New Years!

We bought a 12 unit apartment building back in 2019. We live out of state and was picking a property management company blindly (using Yelp only really). I am so happy we chose them! As an owner, it helps tremendously not having to worry about day to day issues. Angie always calls me when an expense is needed that goes over our comfort level - so we can discuss options. The fact that we have low tenant turnover tells me tenants are happy and being taken care of. Angie has been our rock since day one! We were in the market to buy something else and trying to decide where to buy. We are so happy with Tucson Market because of Angie, we bought another rental property for her to manage! You won't be dissappointed!
