We lived at one of the apartments that is managed by Heritage realty for more than two years. The property manager for our building Maya, is absolutely fantastic. She's prompt, polite and professional to respond to any questions and concerns (always within 24 hours) and makes sure that any repairs and maintenance needed is taken care of. She follow-ups, sends emails and communicate in a timely manners. Over all, as a company they care about the tenants, building, the front and backyard.

This company gave me bad vibes from the first interactions.

Joking about the approval status of a support animal on the day of lease signing is a bad look, imo.

Throughout any interactions with Jeff I felt I was being spoken down to and probed unnecessarily about my private life.

Fast forward to moving out, their auto deducting rent collection did not stop when my lease was terminated, and I was charged extra rent.

While receiving my refund of this money and my deposit (the full amount as we passed off keys and inspection ) I was asked to pay out of my pocket directly to the landlords (something never done before) for the cost to replace a set of blinds. I asked this be taken out of my deposit while I was also asking for the check to be reissued in my new legal name.

Ultimately I just got my bank to take the old name but wow do you seem to have money issues. And attitude issues.

Looking for past tenants. I heard some folks are banning together to get their money back from these scam artists. Reach out to me if interested. Remember, there's power in numbers & dont be afraid to stick up for whats right! Its ok if it's been a while since you moved, you have rights.

I would leave a minus stars if I could. Do not rent from this company. They are frauds slumlords do not care about tenants whatsoever. I wish I had read reviews before I rented with them it's a joke. I have stage 3 toxic mold in this unhabitale apartment and they don't care. Don't rent 1756 broadway #8 it's not safe especially if you have asthma or immune issues. There are roaches which were not disclosed either. This is an outrage how greedy some people are

Very horrible management. Very rude in their communications and their emails. They take so many days to respond to important emails and fixes. Heritage Realty will always try to blame you and charge you for everything and swindle your wealth when you try to move out. If you are assigned a manager named Jacqueline, run away!

If there was a no star rating I will be giving it to the manager Terry and the property manager Celia, they both lack the customer service concepts. She kept delaying my application and asked for more than the California legal limit for the security deposit. And he toke her side and basically told me that am trouble just for asking for my rights. I moved in because I had no other option and when I asked for some maintenance on October the technician came On December and said he will send them the estimate and he did send it to Celia but she didn’t share it with her manager and when I called Today to check I spoke to terry again who again start telling me I have no right to complain because I missed the technician appointment on may and he didn’t want to hear anything else am said he was rude. I hope Everyone read this review before getting into business with them.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT rent from them or use them as your property management company. They are frauds and completely inept. I don't think I've ever come across a more inept company. Just try to get a straight answer out of them. This is my first negative review in years but I felt compelled to warn others.
