We purchased a home in Lehigh Acres in April of 2023 and our experience was great at that time. Fast forward to June of 2024, we sold that home but with very different results to closing on that home, not only for us but the buyers too. Cold and uncaring.
This company was nothing to write home about when it came to customer service and politeness. Betty had every excuse under the sun as to why she could not perform her job. Ruth who answers the phone was ok to start with, but you soon learned she couldn't think or do anything on her own and was a puppet on a string and patterned her behavior the same way. We even asked for a courtesy closing space for an outside notary to close on another home we purchased and they were extremely rude and doubled the fee to do a courtesy closing. Obviously, we didn't use them. The manager was rude to our attorney office and point of contact. They were appalled at how they were spoken to by the manager. They were trying their best to do things states away with the cooperation of our title company. The rudeness and the fees were outrageous, no discounts for using them previously were noted. Lack of customer service and professionalism were my biggest complaint. Always had excuses and wouldn't call to explain the reason to cancel a scheduled meeting, but just expect you to change your life to accommodate her poor planning as it became her emergency. Rudeness and lack of caring is what you will receive if you choose this title company to work for you.

Had a difficult transaction as buyer was a LLC. Too many attorneys involved, but Homestead Land and Title was able to satisfy request for title commitment.

I understand that things take time or that there might be hickups, but when the title company drops the ball by NOT following thru the regular steps of a transaction and then do not make an effort to accomodate the client to a smooth closing, to me that is distasteful. The lack of customer service in this day and age is completely unacceptable.
