A great little museum with all the local history. Wonderful exhibits spanning from the original native American residents to the more recent past. There is no entrance fee, they request donations. There was free parking around the building.

We love learning the local history of areas we visit, and the Indian Rocks Beach Historical Museum was a great place to start on this trip. We enjoyed our time browsing the exhibits that covered many aspects of the island’s history and development, and we also enjoyed speaking with the volunteers. We followed our time there by taking the walking tour that is available through the Florida Stories app which the museum has information about.

This is an interesting little museum that tells you how Indian Rocks Beach developed and changed over the years. Certainly not a tourist destination but worth a stop when in the area. It's free and takes about 30 minutes to go through. In the museum, pick up a map of the walking tour of the Indian Rocks Beach community. The tour itself is available through a mobile app named "Florida Stories Walking Tours." I don't recommend the entire walking tour but my wife and I found that walking among the cottages on 8th Avenue and Beach Trail gave us the feeling of "old Florida" on the gulf coast.

This seems to be one of the better museums in the area. The history of Indian Rock is thorough and the curator is very knowledgeable.

We met Betsy here on a Friday afternoon. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She answered some of our questions about the area as we browsed this historical gem. It was time very well spent!

Often small and local museums are a dime a dozen, but this one is unique. The place is run by very long time residents, a couple that have spent many decades in the area and have a great love and sense of pride in the area. Go meet the Bie's. They're sweet grandparents, curators, and residents, and as sharp as they are kind.

Small but excellent museum telling the history of Indian Rocks. Lots of interesting facts and well laid out. Well worth a visit if you are staying in the Indian Rocks area.
