Today, Elizabeth from Lease Wichita reached out to apologize for my previous poor experience. We discussed the proactive steps the management company is taking to enhance tenant experiences and prevent such issues in the future. Additionally, Lease Wichita has agreed to refund my deposit. I am extremely grateful for Elizabeth’s outreach and hopeful that Lease Wichita will provide a better experience for future tenants.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Lease Wichita, LLC. I paid a deposit of $1,350 to secure a new construction duplex in the Haysville School District, which was advertised as having a fenced-in backyard with sod. During my walkthroughs in May and early July, the property manager assured me that these features would be completed before my move-in date in August.

However, just days before moving in, I discovered that none of the duplexes had fencing, or sod installed. The property manager could not provide a specific timeline for when these features would be completed. As a pet owner, this was particularly concerning because the yard was entirely dirt and unsuitable for my dog.

I requested to delay my move-in until the yard was completed but was informed that the duplex could not be held any longer and that my deposit had already been held for over 30 days. I also proposed signing the lease and making alternative arrangements for my dog until the yard was finished, with the understanding that I would not pay the pet rent or non-refundable pet deposit until my dog moved in. This proposal was rejected, and I was told I would need to sign the lease and pay all associated fees prior to move-in, despite the incomplete yard.

Given that the property did not meet the advertised and agreed-upon conditions, I requested the return of my deposit. Unfortunately, my request was denied. This denial demonstrates how uncooperative they are with tenants, even when the fault lies with them.

As of October 1, 2024, the duplexes still do not have fences or sod installed. I feel that the property management company never intended to fulfill their commitment as advertised. I cannot recommend Lease Wichita, LLC based on my experience.

We set up a showing for a home that was listed at $1395/mo if you applied within 24 hrs. They mention nothing of wanting their applicants to have a certain “credit score”. I asked the woman who did our showing while we were there if they “required” a certain credit score and she stood there and told us no. So then I also asked about the price because it was then listed at $1695. She then told me the ad was wrong and it is $1495….but after it was listed for $1395 when I saw it. So it’s the typical bait and switch as well. I then asked about my application a few days later and my attempts went literally ignored. We have absolutely nothing in our background check to prevent us from renting and we make well over the “three times rent” requirement. They also never reached out to reference/current landlord. Don’t waste your time with this company. They take your app fees and then ignore you and lie.

We have lived in our condo for almost 3 years and pay our rent early every month,all to never have any of our maintenance request honored. We have reported our patio sliding door does not lock at all for the past 2 months and no response, which there is no screen on it either because when we first moved in they told us they would replace but never did.
Extremely dangerous to not have a locked door which is connected to our back yard. But they seem to not think it's a important fix. Along with other important things we have requested to be fixed. So sick of this leasing place. And you can't speak to anyone by phone, they tell you you have to email or txt smh. This place is horrible. So many things that need replaced a fixed and updated but they will never come out and do anything let alone respond. Very disrespectful and frustrating as a good tenant who pays rent early on time every month. They will put "complete " on the work orders they never even came out to fix. People please be very careful when renting from this company. We have been told from other tenants the same issues we have they have had to. They do not like fixing anything. Slum lords.

Paying a hefty rent for 0 maintenance requests to be fulfilled after waiting two weeks and counting and did not clean carpet prior to move in, pet hair galore over here and a bad leak under a bathroom sink coming from a pipe. No communication whatsoever! Update: a week later and they still have not been out keep saying end of week for the past 2 weeks, and something is wrong with the dryer outlet so we’ve been spending extra money at the laundromat every week since moving in a month ago! And was never informed of the $10 fee associated with paying the rent online. Starting to be a joke fr.

This was one of the easiest moves we have ever experienced. Yahaira showed us a home we are going to enjoy for some time. It gave us the extra room we needed and tons of storage. Yahaira answered our questions in a timely manner and even checked on us after we moved!
