A horrific situation. The Board Members did not perform professionally or legally. Did not comply legally or honestly!!
Was Not approved because the board did not want a service animal living there. Was forced & given an ultimatum to sign a drafted document by someone NOT familiar with the ADA Laws, etc.... It was intrusive, illegal, & put the board in total control of my life if I signed it. They did not comply legally in time to o either set up an interview - and was told that everything was in order & looked great. Then, this new so-called application which was created just for me was mentioned to my Realtor 4 days before closing & was told within the document, even if I signed it, I could be denied. I finally received the document, later that night, after making a trip with my Realtor & Service Dog that afternoon to see if the application was ready. Their "attorney" was not done creating this discriminatory & controlling illegal piece of paper for me to sign.
The demands within this BOGUS application were intrusive, demanding my medical records immediately, & every year thereafter to REVIEW & DETERMINE IF I STILL REQUIRED MY SERVICE DOG!!!
IT IS NOT THEIR CALL NOR IS IT LEGAL TO PRESSURE SOMEONE INTO SIGNING A DOCUMENT THAT WAS NOT A PART OF THE ORIGINAL APPLICATION TURNED IN 6 WEEKS PRIOR!!!! THE BOARD DID NOT STAY ON TASK & SCHEDULE UP AN INTERVIEW WITH US.
WE COULD NOT CLOSE ON THE CONDO FOR SEVERAL REASONS. WE HAVE SOLD OUR CONDO, AND NOW HAVE NOWHERE TO GO!!!!!! WE WILL HAVE TO FIND SOMEWHERE TO GO TEMPORARILY & START A NEW SEARCH TO FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO LIVE. OUR FURNITURE WILL HAVE TO BE PUT IN STORAGE WHILE WE RENT SOMEWHERE & WILL HAVE TO MOVE TWICE BECAUSE OF THE BOARD INTENTIONALLY DRAGGING THEIR FEET NOT COMPLYING
WITH TIME FRAMES SO WE COULD CLOSE; LIED ABOUT BEING ON VACATION WHEN STILL THERE, WOULD NOT RESPOND TO OVER 20+ PHONE CALLS FROM MY REALTOR & WAS DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE MY SERVICE DOG WAS A 68 POUND SWEET & LOVEABLE 1/2 GOLDEN RETRIEVER 1/2 LAB.... THEY MEMBERHAVE CAUSED ME SEVERE STRESS, A LARGE SUM OF ADDITIONAL MONEY OUT OF MY POCKET AND HAVE DONE IT BOTH ILLEGALLY,THIS UNETHICALLY & DISCRIMINATORY!!!

A SIMILAR SITUATION WAS ALSO BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION AFTER HEARING ABOUT MY UNCALLED FOR ISSUE WITH THE BOARD. THEY MADE THIS INDIVIDUAL'S LIFE A LIVING HELL, & MOVED OUT DUE TO THE HARRASSMENT FROM THIS BOARD!!!
I WAS IN THE LEGAL FIELD FOR OVER 15 YEARS, & I SUGGEST THEY RETAIN A KNOWLEDGEABLE PRACTICING ATTORNEY; BEFORE THEY ATTEMPT TO CREATE ILLEGAL DOCUMENTS & DISCRIMINATE AGAINST INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE THE LAW TO SUIT THEIR MEANS ..
THEY HAVE ALSO INCONVENIENCED THE SELLERS GREATLY & DRAGGED THEM ALONG, AS WELL.
I WILL NOT RECOMMEND LIME BAY TO ANYONE!
WHO WOULD WANT TO LIVE WITH NOSEY, INTRUSIVE, CONTROLLING, LYING & HARRASSING INDIVIDUALS WHO THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW....THINK BEFORE YOU BUY!!!
