Just trying to get a person to speak to is unbelievable. I was on hold for OVER THREE HOURS trying to get somebody on the phone, they never answered.There must be too many people working from home doing their laundry. The government structure everywhere is pathetic. Good thing there’s somebody looking into frivolous spending.

For months I've been dealing with issues, beyond water quality. Not only does Manatee have a barely functioning infrastructure, but the department overcharges constantly with little to no leeway. For months I've been fighting bills and trying to work with them on fixing a bill THEY messed up. Not only did they do nothing, but they said it was completely on me and I'd have to fix a leak and show them proof. When, it's THEIR bad the system didn't charge us for 3 months, and ended up dropping a 600 dollar bill when it has been less than a quarter of that since moving in. All they did was shrug and say it's not THEIR fault the system charged us 4x for "extra water usage" when slapping us with 30k gallons randomly, when it's best case 30k over 3 or 4 months of usage. They're thieves, Crooks, and couldn't care less about the people they serve. I'm moving out of this state the first moment I can, and I'm sure as hell making sure no one ever stays in this god forsaken town

Forced to pay for horrible service! They don't collect like they are supposed to. I called & put in a complaint & was told it would be picked up by 6 the next day. That didn't happen so I called again & was told by 6 today. My garbage is still waiting to be picked up!

For those of you complaining about your water bill or broken trash cans, this is NOT utilities. They have no customer service in this building and fix roads and ditches. If you have a concern as a citizen I suggest you call 311.

USELESS! Is the only way to describe this place someone needs fired. There is no customer service only a disservice when you can’t talk someone when they give you a number to call and keep you on hold for over 30 minutes.

I stopped in to ask a question about traffic control devices. A staff member found out who would be best to answer my question and took my contact information so that they can get back to me, as that person was not available at this location. I received a call back the next day from a guy named Jeff who works with traffic control devices and he told me that the appropriate people would look at my request and the intersection involved and get back to me. He was very friendly and helpful.

I see Manatee County has bad reviews and I can definitely understand why because in the past I've encountered some staff who has been pretty rude, but today was totally different. I spoke to Tina in customer service for an overdue water bill that we received (although we're on auto pay) and she was in a great mood. She was very positive, informative, and helpful. Although I wasn't calling under the best of circumstances she was very understanding and gave me the info I needed.

I probably could've left 10 one star reviews on here by now, for all the bad interactions I've had with rude and unhelpful staff members but never felt the motivation or had the time. However, Tina's friendly personality and helpful nature made me feel she deserved to be commended. (Especially compared to her coworkers who I've dealt with and seem to be just the opposite. For example, instead of giving you the phone number so you can pay your bill over the phone they will tell you the phone number can be found online "if you just look". The phone number can also be found on their desk if they "just look".) Although she was simply doing her job the way it SHOULD be done, the same can't be said for most people who work here who are just grumpy and lazy. More employees should model their behavior after Tina. Hope this gets back around to you! Thanks Tina and have a great day!
