This company is horrible. We been telling them for months that there was an issue with the bathroom roof and nothing was done. Finally the roof felt off on a Saturday and every time the tenants flush the toilet from the upstairs it start leaking down to us. They didn’t sent a plumber till Wednesday that didn’t do nothing till Thursday. The roof keeps falling off I finally stop telling the rent collector and call maintenance my self got no live person after many attempts. Left a voicemail: message on recording said they check daily between 1-4pm and I know I left that message between those hours. I didn’t get a call back. Call back the next day and press a different option to see if I could get a live person. FINALLY got a person who told me some guy name Joe (no last name given) was the supervisor but Joe couldn’t talk to me because he was going into a meeting so she gave me and email. I email this Joe guy demanding action and a call back. Still no call I try calling several times yesterday to see if I could talk to this Joe and I am believing that they are ignoring my call because i beeped trying all morning today and still NO ONE has answer or call me back.

I’ve lived in a building they’ve managed longterm for about a year. The building is kept very tidy, the apartment I moved into was clean + fully renovated, they’ve been responsive to maintenance requests. Things like lights in the carport were replaced quickly when they went out, despite not having an onsite manager. I’ve been very impressed overall because I worked in management years ago, I can see they have good systems in place. Sadly, the building is changing hands and they’ll no longer be our management company. I don’t think another company in LA (I’ve lived here a while) can do better than my experience this past year. Thanks for everything, guys. You were all great to deal with. The pandemic was rough, my previous management company was a nightmare, and it was really nice living someplace this past year where everything was organized, taken care of, and calm.

UPDATE: I didn't think I'd be coming back to this, but in the last few months they've honestly really stepped it up. My maintenance requests are being addressed really quickly and without much fuss. I've added a star and I'll continue to see how they do.

But from my original review, I don't like that they're blaming tenants for previous problems. I said:

As you can see from the responses to the other reviews here, all they do is blame the tenants. Really? Dozens of tenants are lying or exaggerating? Grow up and take responsibility for your service.

I have been living in one of their apartments for more then 8 years. They always treated me with respect and kindness. They even allowed me to add a new window into my closet (so it could be turned into an office) and they covered all the costs. I didn't have to pay a dime, and always have been very fast in response to "repairs" requests. One of the reasons why I have not moved out this amazing place is because they allowed me to make the apt feel like home.

When it began to rain during the first week of December 2018, water leaked into our apartment complex causing damages to the kitchen, several rooms and a good amount of our personal belongs were ruined as well.

After discussing this with My Management Co, we were promised to have this issue resolved but it’s been nearly two months of living in this type of environment without any progress in sight. Myself, along with several other residents, have been rendered without kitchens or several of our bedrooms because of substantial interior damage. Not only did we spend the holiday season like this but, it has continued to put a stress on our family as we’ve been forced to cluster-up in the living room. We’ve continued to pay of monthly rent although we’ve lacked basic necessities like cooking or a place to sleep comfortably.

This is probably the worst management company I’ve ever dealt with. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I have been trying to get in contact with My management so I can get maintenance done on my apartment since October 2018 I have still not gotten my apartment serviced! Yet they call me and send me notices of rent increases monthly. They lost my January rent, and threatened me with a 3- day eviction notice... seems like the only person that works there is Alyssa in collections obviously! The only time they carry out any maintenance is when inspectors request it, but the mickey mouse job only lasts long enough to satisfy the inspector!
An inspector requested that our apartment be painted inside and that our stairwell is reinforced, they painted 3 walls and our stairwell still shakes going up n down the stairs! Our kitchen and restroom cabinets are deteriorating and the sinks aren’t placed properly which caused chipwood expansion in the bottom cabinets, also the sink hasn’t been reglazed since they took over about 3-4 years ago. (Same exact problem in two separate rooms, wow) Our front door isn’t the proper size, which keeps it from locking properly, creating a breeding ground for spiders and insects from outside, ensuring we feel the weather from outside, inside and also threatening mine and my families safety daily. Oh and also The piping above our parking structure leaks leaving rust marks in all the tenant cars. If you have a deathwish, I welcome you to my balcony, give it one nice jump and you’ll find yourself on the first floor!! Become a homeowner if you can! Do not rent from these people! They will try to fight you, i wish I could Post the text exchange I’ve had with their reps!!

I lived in one of their apartments for a year and a half and was treated horribly by the property manager Josh Miller. I felt very uneasy and unsafe knowing he had keys to my unit. He was very hostile showed up at random times and would threaten to tow my car when I was trying to bring up groceries . The building I lived in was infested with roaches and they wouldn't do anything about it after calling several times I just decided to pay for the exterminator myself, 300 out of my pocket. Not to mention the neighbors tormented me and made my life a living hell. When i tried to express my concerns they wouldn't hear my side of the story and continued to let the harassment happen. They did not protect me they did not care about the cleanliness and we'll being of my home. All they cared about was getting their money. Very dishonest and abusive people . I will definitely need therapy after living under this roof

They are still horrible and if anything more horrible than before Ive had rats in my walls for about a year now, no insulation in my walls, and the daintiest most worthless windows you can find. My girlfriend who has epilepsy is having constant seizures cuz of how loud it is in our unit. I've been told over and over again that they're going to fix it and it still hasn't happened and now it's at the point where I realized I have to get a lawyer. #slumlord no wonder there's so many lawsuits against his company, and if you call the city they'll tell you plenty of other people have been reporting My Management as well. Just call the city or a lawyer because if you complain to the owners they'll say you're trying to extort them for cheaper rent although you're just complaining and pointing out to them that your apartment is not up to code. Steve and Joe act like their only job is collecting rent, absolute worst property management company you could ever deal with not one person who works with them is professional.
