The Mystic Boat Adventures is an amazing boat ride attraction and an absolute “must do excursion” when visiting Mystic, Connecticut.

When I celebrated my wife’s birthday in Mystic, Connecticut in September of 2024, I brought and treated her and myself for a guided Mystic Boat Adventure tour. We both found the experience to be quite exhilarating!!!

The Mystic Boat Adventure offers a distinct and one of a kind boat tour experience because it provides riders the chance to 1).captain their own Craigcat boat, 2).rapidly sail their along
the Mystic River, and 3).enjoy scenic views of the landscape and other local rivers.

Our tour guide, Rob was absolutely brilliant and perfect!!! He was very kind and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. He did a superb job on explaining the best ways to operate a Craigboat, provided tips on how we should conduct our left, right and 360 degrees turns, and detailed the do’s and don’t’s when approaching waves.

During the tour, Rob also showcased his knowledge and intimate understanding of Mystic, Connecticut, by pointing out numerous popular sights, attractions and local rivers. Both my wife and I would agree that when you tour with Rob in Mystic, you are touring with the absolute best!!!

In addition to Rob’s great service, what my wife and I loved most about our boat tour was the unbelievable agility of the Craigboat, and its speed level!!! We traveled at 30 miles an hour, and we enjoyed the thrill of sailing along the river, making 360 degree turns, feeling the cool breeze of the air, and getting doused with water brought by the waves. We also enjoyed wonderful views of lighthouses, sailing ships, luxury yachts, and numerous ocean bays and rivers.

We’d like to thank Mystic Boat Adventures for providing us with an outstanding adventure and highly recommend for everyone to participate in this incredible attraction!!!

This was one of the most fun and unique activities we have ever done! Sort of like a paddle boat, but motorized. Our guide, Rob, was delightful! We did the 3-hour sunset tour and it was fantastic - Rob made sure to take us to spots for beautiful sunset views and he even had some great photo tips. You will very likely get wet, so dress accordingly. Charge your phone so you have enough battery for photos and videos - and bring a waterproof case for your phone. Highly recommend!

We had an awesome tour guide rob ! For a one hour tour he was feeding us the history of the tour what we seeing , and made us confident in using the boat ! He made it fun and relaxing ! Rob we thank you when we come back we going to do the three our tour !!!thank you rob !!!

We did the hour boat tour and had such an amazing adventure! Rob, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about boating and the history of the area we toured. Next time we would definitely do the three hour tour! The boats were fun to drive and very easy to maneuver. We learned so much and had a blast. We would recommend this activity! Go Rob go!

We had a great time out on the three hour Mystic River tour. Rob was fantastic and very knowledgeable of the area. We already have plans to go out again!

Took the 1 hour tour and had an amazing time. Instructor/guide was personable and gave a 40 minute lesson prior to the start of our trip. The vessel itself goes faster than you would imagine so be prepared to pay attention during the lesson. Felt very safe the whole time, was told about the different spot we were seeing and waters we were navigating. Overall a really great experience. Will do the 3 hour next time and deffinitly recommend it.

Great fun! Rob was very accommodating of our family of five. My 11 year old son had a blast riding with him and doing all kinds of donuts in the water!

We've been coming to Mystic every year for a while, and this is the first time we discovered Mystic Boat Adventures. My daughter and I had an absolute blast piloting the boat, and once we got over the fear factor that we were going "too fast" and gained confidence in piloting the boat for the first time, it felt like second nature.

We did the 3 hour Mystic River tour which ended with a "free sail" hour at the end. However, we opted not to go out into the Sound due to heavily windy conditions, so we stayed in the channel in the "playground" area doing donuts and figure-eights. Before we knew it the 3 hours was up.

Rob was a great host and he taught us hot to pilot the boats in no time. He was also very knowledgeable of the Mystic seaport area. We had a great time and will absolutely be making this a regular part of our yearly Mystic trips!
