We had a bad experience with Oceans Luxury Realty (OLR). In 2022, we rented a beautiful condo for five weeks at Peck Plaza in Daytona Beach Shores for the 2023 season. Although we rented through VRBO, OLR was the managing agency. In July 2022, we were notified that the Peck rental had sold. We were offered a condo in Ormond Beach at Seawinds #102. We were told there would be no additional charge even though it was an upgrade due to recent updates and an oceanside location. The Peck Plaza condo was also brand new after hurricane construction, and it was on the northwest side so we could see both the ocean and Halifax River. We opted to accept the condo because we feared not being able to find anything else within our budget. In September, we were notified of “winter construction” like painting and minor cement work during our stay. After hearing four weeks of garage jack hammering in our condo last year, we were suspicious but also agreed to continue with the rental. When we arrived at the condo on February 4, we found construction equipment on the patio outside of our bedroom. And shortly thereafter, more equipment appeared just in front of the other half of the patio. We notified OLR immediately to let them know our frustration after the construction workers awakened us every morning between 7:30-8:00 am. They did follow up with a very nice fruit basket and $50 Visa gift card. They also said they were working with the condo owner on a compensation package. We continued to stay in contact with OLR, sending them pictures of the “in our face” construction. Other condo renters were very frustrated with the situation as well. The last week entailed a patio closure for painting and deafening jack hammering on the wall outside of our bedroom. They continued to assure us they were in contact with the owner. On our last evening, we heard someone inputting the code into our door. The door opened and thankfully we had the chain lock on. It was a woman identifying as the owner’s sister and “didn’t realize the condo was rented”. Why did someone have our door code? OLR promised a call on the Monday after we returned home. They did not call as promised, so my husband called them. They said there would be no further compensation and merely apologized for the inconvenience. We were quite disappointed after experiencing the numerous problems. They said they did part ways with the condo owner as “customer happiness” is important. But it wasn’t important enough to dig into their pockets! They said the condo was already discounted for the construction. Not true! We didn’t even know about the construction at the time of the rental. They promised good pricing if we rented again from them! Really? We cannot trust them to do the right thing.

tried to call and leave a Message but the voicemail box was full (not a problem) so I texted them letting them know I was going to try to give them a call the next day Because I was getting off of my break and cannot take personal calls. (the phone tag is not a problem for me. i would've just kept trying to find a time to get in contact with them as i understand EVERYONE has different schedules)

For some reason they felt that it was necessary to tell me i should have called in the beginning of my break and also was rude about letting me know he only called me 5 minutes after i had called. i literally sent a message after EXPLAINING i was getting off of my break and would try again the next day. anyways thanks SO MUCH. i was ON THE PHONE WITH FEMA for the duration of my break And that was completely unnecessary to say to me. they clearly lack customer service and sympathy for people doing everyone on their own while working a tight schedule of 2 jobs.

maybe find employees who don't send petty responses.

We rented a 3 bdrm condo & it was very nice & spacious. The only draw back was the outdoor furniture but we made do & had a great time. Ocean’s Realty was great to communicate with & was very accommodating which I appreciated very much! They made everything easy for us. Would highly recommend!!

Upon check in we were greeted by the young lady at the front desk with a smile and directions on how to access the unit.
After arriving at the condo, we were surprised at how big this unit actually was, the unit was immaculate and very clean. After walking out onto the balcony, the views were endless and you could see for miles and miles.
I would also like to mention how safe we felt knowing that it was a secured parking garage with a door code to enter the building itself. If your travels take you to Daytona Beach, I would highly recommend this unit. 5 ⭐️

I rented a three bedroom condominium through Airbnb and it was absolutely beautiful and spacious. I had a party of 9 and it was more than enough, I'll definitely rebook again. The only downside is I wish the pool would've been open but that's no fault of theirs. It was nice and peaceful and the view from the balcony was just what i needed after the drive.

We had a great time at the Opus Condos. They are located in a great area with great beach access. The pool and hot tub are a great alternative if you want a change! The facility is well maintained and perfect for families!
