Unfortunate Experience at Park Village

We stayed at Park Village when we first moved to Brevard County, and our time there was generally okay. However, after we moved out in 2023, we were shocked to receive a wrongful collection notice months later. Let me clarify, I'm not the type to neglect my responsibilities as a tenant. If there was a legitimate reason for the collection, we would have had no problem addressing it directly with the management.

What’s troubling is that despite having updated our contact details—including phone numbers, emails, and new address—Park Village never reached out to us directly. Instead, they chose to send the debt to a collection agency without any proper communication or explanation for the charge. During our time there, we were great tenants, always paying on time and maintaining a positive relationship with management. Everyone who worked there knew we were responsible renters.

I made several attempts to contact the management team to resolve this issue, but each time I was told they would look into it and get back to me. Unfortunately, we never received any follow-up. As someone who helps others find properties, it's especially disappointing to see such practices from an apartment complex. It’s damaging not only to one's credit but also to the chances of finding a new home. If they had just contacted us directly, I would have been more than willing to work with them to resolve the situation.

Mikail was a huge help. We walked in for a tour of the complex and were able to see a few units that were available immediately. He answered all of my questions and many calls with no complaints to my eagerness to move quickly. We applied, approved and were moving in all within a few days. The complex offers a nice pool and dog park as well as being close to wickham park which my pup loves. They have events to stay in touch and have good morale with their tenants, very happy with our decision to live with this complex

Absolutely loved the tour that makail gave me and my partner. He made sure to the best of his ability to make it fun . He was also very knowledgeable with every question we had he had a lot of knowledge to share of the apartments. Enjoyed the time he took to make sure we got to see every design and style of apartment making sure we knew the options so we can choose the best for us . He took his time and didn’t care how long we took . His number one priority was our satisfaction

Makail helped tremendously with applying for the apartment and working with us to get approved. He was readily available, kind and enthusiastic to get us our apartment. We pointed out issues with the apartment on our initial checklist and he immediately addressed them. Overall the best experience I’ve ever had with a leasing agent.

Similar to what others have experienced with move-out, my final payment was never given to me, electronically or otherwise. My rent payment account was closed before I saw any balance other than 0.00 on it, and I did not get an email or phone call about the payment. Instead, I received a call from a debt collections agency about my outstanding debt. This is a horrible business practice for the residents, as it can negatively impact their prospects going forward. Total negligence on the apartment's part should not negatively effect the resident or former resident. Given the fact that others have had this exact experience within a year of writing this review, it seems this is a repeated pattern of incompetence. Be wary of when you move out that you force the staff to actually process your move-out.

The apartment itself was fine, but overpriced like everything else in the area for what it was. Staff was cordial, but not responsive to anything other than in-person visits, and good luck getting your move-out stuff done correctly.

So I was being transferred from Malabar Lakes to Park Villages and I did my tour Nov. 11,2024 and I was to move in Nov.14, 2024. During my tour I pointed out a lot of stuff I had a problem with that needed to be fixed before I moved in and they agreed they will get it taking care of and get the apartment clean and ready for me to move in. I got my keys the afternoon of Nov.14,2024 only to walk in seeing that the apartment was never cleaned the bathroom tubs was just sprayed over with spray paint and the dirt from previous tenants was mixed in with the spray paint. Apartment windows have actual water damage and build up mold and I keep getting the run around. I pay for pest control and only seen them once since I moved here and I’ve been complaining about roaches. Now I sleep a foul smell coming from my dryer so I moved it and checked the vent and long and be hold it’s clogged with wet old caked up lint that was never cleaned out which is a fire hazard. Made a maintenance request and he came with a blower and said it’s all taken care of and when I looked nothing was taken care of. I had to personally put gloves on and stick my hand in there and try to clean it out the best of my abilities but I was so grossed out and overwhelmed my anxiety started flaring up and I broke down in tears because I shouldn’t have to be living like this. I’m a good tenant that pays my rent on time and I shouldn’t have to sit here and fix stuff that’s out of my scope and is someone else’s job. I’ve been here going on 3 months and stuff that’s was supposed to be fixed before I moved in is still not fixed and I’ve been waiting patiently but today I’ve had it up to here with the half ass maintenance. They just got a new maintenance man Jessie and he’s trying his hardest to clean up someone else’s but it’s a lot on him.

Approximately six months ago I arrived in Melbourne with the implicit intention of relocating there. I'm 83 years old so obviously most things in life present themselves with much more of a challenging aspect, There is nothing easy about trying to find a decent, affordable place to live in a place that I don't know a soul and never been in the area before. I'm setting the premise of writing this as to the significance of placing this review for Andrew Pope, the manager at park village where I now reside. My goal is to adequately express my gratitude to this young man.
Do to all my years of interfacing with all aspects of society, I'm able to differenciate between a conscientious individual that genuinely cares about helping people,
It's my opinion that Andrew exceed every aspect of his position as manager, assisting me to navigate the digital word successfuly acquiring my current residence that I'm completely satisfied with.
