I'm new to Grand Junction and was looking for a home to rent while looking for my wife's "forever home'. Let me tell you the pick'ns were slim! Some management companies wanted $70+ per adult, non-refundable application fee for everyone living in the home before they would even talk to you...CRAZY! I understand the purpose of application fees and was pleasantly surprised that Red Compass fees were 1/2 that! And they were happy to discuss the property we were interestedly in prior to submitting an application. Between Karla and Theresa they were extremely helpful and accommodating. But it didn't stop there. We moved from Arizona with many logistic issues to deal with. At every turn they went out of their way to accommodate us. Then upon moving in there were, of course, issues with the home that the previous renters failed to disclose. When contacting Karla, she jumped on the problems immediately...some even the same day within hours. Management companies have to walk a thin line between the tenant's expectations and the owners desire to make repairs. Red Compass excels in this area. I highly recommend Red Compass to anyone looking for a rental home. They are great to work with!

Wendy was referred to us by a trusted friend. He described many positive attributes, and then stated “she just works harder than everyone else.” Our situation was complicated, involving first the sale of a difficult property and then making purchases with a 1031 exchange. It would take more than 6 months to complete all this, but she regularly checked in with us and had developed a good working relationship before we were in a position to act on transactions with her. Wendy re-defined the role of “agent” for us, and consistently and exclusively acted in behalf of our interests. We really felt she approached each transaction as if she were doing it for herself. She carefully examined property condition and scrutinized inspection reports, giving us thoughtful recommendations on reasonable requests. Before closing, she carefully examined repairs to make sure these met our expectations. With one unique rental property purchase, she helped us understand the property’s potential, then effectively differentiated our offer with the seller when competition got intense. After we got the contract, she helped us develop a flier for high potential tenant prospects, and even placed them for us! She consistently went the extra mile to help the process go quickly and smoothly. At the end of the process, we felt we had more than met all of our goals, and Wendy was a major reason why. In 35 years of buying and selling residential real estate, no experience we’ve had comes close to working with Wendy Johnson!
