I stayed in unit 305 and it was great. Updated, clean, well stocked. No issues. The pool was open and there are two new grills on the patio. They are still getting furniture on the patio together since the hurricanes but overall a good experience.

I had a very disappointing stay at Sandy Shores Condominiums. Right from the beginning, the communication was terrible. I tried using the app to contact the host, but the responses were either very delayed or vague. It felt like I was being ignored, which set a bad tone for the entire stay.

When I arrived, they told me the room would be ready an hour before the official check-in time, but when I got there, the room was a mess, like someone had just checked out. It was nowhere near clean. I was told they'd let me know when the room was finally ready, but even an hour before the official check-in, it still wasn't prepared.

After complaining, things got worse. They moved me from room to room twice, and the final room was nothing like what I had originally booked. It was in terrible condition—the beds were uncomfortable, the closet didn’t have proper doors, and the bathroom was filthy. To top it off, the shower curtain was broken and had fallen off. The entire room was poorly maintained, with none of the cleanliness I had expected, especially after paying half the stay upfront for a cleaning fee.

This chaotic and frustrating experience left me deeply unsatisfied. I would not recommend Sandy Shores Condominiums to anyone looking for a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Condo 302 was such a disappointment after staying in 402 last year which was a 5 star rating. Closet doors broke, blinds broke and on the balcony doors only blinds that cover half. On balcony a little boys swim trunks left behind since how long ago A large vent in living area was filthy. Just made you wonder how clean everything else was. Limited silverware. No broom so you can't clean the floors of sand. The view and the pool was a pro. Walking directly unto the beach also a pro. However the garbage on the beach was really bad since last year! Bottle caps, beer caps, broken glass, bottles, cig butts etc. There is no reason for this as there are many garbage cans. Then there were dogs on the beach. I had no problem with the dogs, but with the inconsiderate owners that didn't clean up after them! The cost of this condo was out of line with the shape it is still in. We are looking to go somewhere else next year. I took pics but not sure how to post.

Until 504 is COMPLETE GARBAGE! Rates are high but do yourself a favor and read ALL the reviews for unit #504! The photos on Sandy Shores site must be from 25 years ago because this condo looks NOTHING like the photos! Notice there are no pictures of the bathroom because the bathroom is disgusting. The bathtub is stained chipped and dirty, the vanity is literally falling apart. I don't think you could clean enough to make this place look presentable. The furniture is old dirty and broken down! The patio furniture is falling apart. And the staff could care less. This unit needs to be totally renovated and refurnished. We will never, ever, do business with Sandy shores again.

We stayed in room 405 for two weeks in May. The apartment has amazing views and is in a quieter part of the building, but it desperately needs an upgrade. There’s a brown carpet in the lounge, yuck, the tv was old and small. The fridge in the kitchen was old and when you close the fridge door the freezer door opens slightly, took me a couple days to realise this.
The beds are very soft and mattresses covered in plastic covers, so incredibly hot. The linens are substandard, very thin and not cotton, which makes the memory foam beds extremely hot. I do think that paying $300+ a night, it should be better.
The other big problem with this resort is the weekends, because minimum is 3 night rental, the place gets busy on a weekend with parties if young people, most are fine, some are not, very young, just there to get drunk, cause noise and be a problem. While we were there one very young drunken girl threw up in the pool, it was then closed for everyone. And this problem seems to be very common. Police were called the next day to a domestic disturbance, by another large group. Just a horrible experience.
Forgot to mention the cockroach found in a bed, don’t get me wrong understand you get cockroaches in Florida, but in your bed!

This place is going downhill fast. Unit 205 is disgusting. The bedroom smelled like urine, the carpeting is filthy. The refrigerator and floor were filthy, water damage on ceiling ,just all out nasty. Couldn't get a chair at the pool unless you got down there by 8 am. Teenagers jumping the fence from Beach Place and using our pool and chairs. No one monitors. Footballs were being thrown in the pool, got hit in the head several times, little kids in the pool screaming with no adult supervision, again, no one monitors, the pool area is up for grabs. Used to be a great place but not worth the $ anymore.

If your a parent who doesn't want to watch your kids this is the place for you. Rooms are horrible, doors don't work, filthy floors, been coming here for 18yrs, and it's sad location superb, everyone knows the code, and all the surrounding kids with no adult supervision come to the pool. For the price it sucks bad. Such a nice location but no mgt. won't be back again code is 4357, every kid within ear shot knows it so I don't feel bad about sharing it. Used to be a great place. Not anymore hopefully this changes, but doubt it, nobody cares and I do not usually give reviews but this place became Fort Lauderdale overnight very sad.

Pros: Location and view is amazing!

Cons: Needs updating and repairs. Entry door sagging, furniture is uncomfortable. Mattresses are worn out, stained linens. Smells like an old motel. Shower curtain moldy. Staff is condescending. Stay away from this place, there are much better places.
