My traffic judge was marsha revel and clearly biased and kept showing an attitude towards me from the get-go. While she allowed everybody else to talk for 5 minutes in response to every question, she kept cutting me off every 10 seconds saying I wasn’t permitted to talk. I tried to be respectful of the courthouse and didn’t say anything but she will receive an official complaint. At least she may want to make it less obvious she is biased based on country of origin. Unlike other defendants, She also constantly accused me of lying and was proved wrong right away there.
Update: While i dont care about the outcome of my case, I submitted two complaints to remove this judge from the courthouse so she doesnt discriminate for future cases. Only helpful staff was an officer named Mahalati.

I came to the self help and I encountered this guy(Cesar) who yelled at me called me Stupid & ignorant for not knowing the court law. I needed help to file some documents for the court, Instead he insulted me yelling at me and refused to help me with the documents I needed. I thought the self help only helps you to fill out forms but the way he acted it was as if he was the judge and was denied my request. I never felt so humiliated and degraded by a person who supposed to help. Hopefully someone can look into this guy’s behavior and bring a real professional to this department. I was very polite to him he didn’t need to treated me that way…please go somewhere else for help.update: I filed my motion to set aside (the paperwork that César refused to help me fill out) and it was granted. If I would’ve been listed to Cesar and not filed my motion I would’ve had lost a constitutional right. Thank Goodness I didn’t give up and didn’t listen to an incompetent person. Trust yourself and ask real knowledgeable people.

Nightmare! The people in 244, especially the women are frustrated old angry females who hate their lives and jobs. Absolutely rude and horrible people. Get another job if you're that mad and hate your life so much!! Unacceptable behavior. Almost creepy.

The bailiff in Department E, under Judge David Swift, needs to be removed immediately. People are already suffering from domestic violence experiences and the bailiff is incredibly rude and power-tripping. And this is coming from a person who won their domestic violence case. I'm strong enough to handle this type of personality, but most people aren't. Bailiff adds more stress to an already stressful process.

I was recommended to go there by Katy Yaroslavsky's office for a civil matter involving my neighbor and how she's been blocking us for 6 months to get our bathroom fixed. The lady at the counter was absolutely disgusting and disrespectful. She looked at me as if I had 3 heads and got angry when I asked questions. So dismissive and disrespectful. AWFUL!

Santa Monica gives out very expensive traffic tickets (like $500-600 for no turn on red, so painful). I was expecting a long wait at the court but the chance of getting the fine reduced and the traffic school removing the points is worth it I guess. when I went on my appointment day, this place is so surprisingly very efficient and well-organized, which made taking care of my ticket a lot less painful than I thought it would be. from the time I went into the courtroom to when I got out only took a total of 1 hour. that was crazy. plus the judge and staff are friendly and reasonable. don't get a ticket in San monica and culver city because it's very expensive but if you do, going to this courthouse is at least not that painful
