I have had the most amazing snd beautiful sails on the Schooner Freda B. The crew is both highly professional and knowledgeable, along with being genuinely fun and welcoming. The sails allow you to take in all the beautiful sights of our stunning San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco waterfront, Alcatraz, Angel Island and the Tiburon waterfront as well as Sausalito and Richardson Bay. I highly recommend them. I have consistently had extraordinary and memorable sails with them. Additionally they’re super kind and accommodating. And it’s just so much fun! The very best!

Had an amazing experience on the beautiful Cimba boat owned by SF Bay Adventures! Such an intimate, perfectly maintained boat for my small celebration! Captain Paul was a delight, and very knowledgeable about literally everything in the bay! Highly recommend, relaxing and enjoyable if you want to get out on the bay! I would go again for sure.

We rented the Cimba for a few hours on a beautiful day and had a lovely experience. The captain, Reno, was great and we were able to choose where we wanted to sail that day since it was a private charter. Such an amazing experience! You can bring your own food and wine/beer which is awesome. Have a blast out there!

Reno was great as our captain, but despite months of advance planning and a signed contract, they completely forgot about our Mother's Day reservation. I had to call in and they gave me a lot of attitude for expecting the tour to begin on time. They said they were able to find a captain who could make it, making it sound like they were going out of their way to do so. For $1,300 3 hour cruise I was not impressed with this. My party and I had to wait around for an hour and it was super embarrassing. I was paying good money for things to be organized and went through the trouble of getting everything in the contract. Really what else is needed to ensure things get put on calendar?

A much cheaper and better alternative is to get $130 tickets on the Matthew Turner for a 3 hour sailing cruise with Call of the Sea. Also, the CIMBA had no life raft or lifeboat, and has a very short railing on the flying bridge. Would be very easy to fall overboard or hurt yourself. I was told a raft or lifeboat isn't required on a bareboat charter, but this strikes me as cutting unnecessary corners on critical safety. We were out on a foggy day and it would been easy for a collision to happen.

When I complained about the lack of proper scheduling and delay, they offered me free tickets on another larger boat, but refused my request for a reduction of the total price. They decided to keep my $1300 even though they breached the contract we had, which had a clear start time.

We booked the CIMBA for a private memorial and scattering of ashes. Our captain, Reno, was wonderful and made the experience better than expected. We’re not from the area, so I was concerned with scheduling blindly with a company but the customer service from the start with SF Bay Adventures to the closing of our trip with Reno was simply incredible!

I have enjoyed several sails on the Beautiful Freda B Schooner. The crew are the best on the bay. They are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Much attention to detail. Looking forward to more sails with them soon.

Our sailing experience here was incredible! The boat was beautiful, the crew was lovely and the bay was, of course, such a lovely place to sail in. Would do it again in a heart beat! Take your family and friends, they’ll love it!
