Their efficient tenant screening and leasing process allowed my property to be rented quickly. They consistently keep me informed about maintenance requests and provide maintenance updates and financial reports. I highly recommend Southern Dream Realty for their dedication, expertise, and exceptional service in property management!

I rented a unit in Gilbert from Southern Dreams Realty. I was there for 16 months. Upon moving in, there was a window in the living room that was broken and I spoke to Courtney to advise her of the broken window, and her response was, we are aware of the broken window and we are working to replace all of the windows in every unit. Needless to say upon my departure, the window was still broken. I was one of the very few tenants to have a very well manicured flower bed. I bought my own plants to make my home look nice. One of the plants that I planted came from my deceased sister’s gravesite. The landscaping company that Southern Dreams Realty hired destroyed all of my plants with weed killer. I took pictures of all the flowers in The flower bed and sent them via text and email to Southern Dreams Realty, Courtney and Jennifer. I asked them for the name of the landscaping company because this was unacceptable. Southern Dreams Realty made no effort to right this wrong and accept responsibility for the company they hired to do the landscaping. Finally, after multiple texts To Southern Dreams,I was able to get the landscaper’s number. He would never answer my calls. He would never respond to my emails, nor would he text me back. I spoke to a couple of tenants that had recently moved out prior to my moving out. They advised, “ Good Luck getting your deposit back!” After hearing that I made certain that my home was spotless before leaving. I took videos and photos of the house before I left just to cover myself. Not to mention I left a $500 shed in the backyard for any potential new tenant. The shed was brand new and had only been up for three months before I moved out. I too, have been a victim of Southern Dreams Realty. They are trying to keep half of my large deposit for normal wear and tear. I will be going to the local Magistrates Office tomorrow as well as seeking private counsel for the remainder of my deposit. At this point, not only is it about the money, it is about the principle as well.

Nothing worst than renting a home from Southern Dreams Realty and not having a stove hood after 7 months in the house. We have emailed and gone in person to try to get things fixed since March and nothing has been done. We rented this place sight unseen because we moved here from California and relied on the pictures so shame on us but even after moving in the house it was so dirty and we had to pay someone to come and deep clean the whole house. They blamed the last tenants for not cleaning it thoroughly; however, it’s up to Southern Dream to do the due diligence and get it ready for the next tenant.

There is black mold, no hood and the back door doesn’t even work properly.

I helped family move into a rental that is managed by Southern Dreams Realty earlier this year. The property was rented sight unseen and was chosen because of the location and the house being very nice. They are paying close to 3000.00 for monthly rent and when we arrived, the house and property were obviously misrepresented by the photos Southern Dreams Realty posted. The deck is rotting, the flower beds were overgrown with weeds, the ceiling in several rooms had been spot painted where water had leaked from the roof, no range exhaust fan, and a non functioning sliding glass door. The garage door can only be opened from inside the home as there are no garage door openers. Despite many attempts to have all of this corrected, Southern Dreams Realty has done zero to make good. In fact, they continue to say they can’t get the owner to do anything about any of the issues with the home. As was stated in several other reviews, Southern Dreams Realty has ignored voice messages and texts requesting assistance. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SOUTHERN DREAMS REALTY!

I don’t recommend!! They have terrible customer service and communication. They ignore you purposely and avoid answers. We rented a property on Brazilian Drive in Elgin, SC and the owner falsely accused us of a trash bill that was in her name! Mind you in SC owners are required by HOA to pay trash services we purchased trash service with Davidson company and provided documentation and the owner still stole $294 of our security deposit to pay for a trash bill that was in her name! When we moved in the property all the bills that were put in our name were paid upon us moving out. We feel the owner and Southern Dreams abused their power by forcing us to pay for the owner bill because she didn’t want to pay! We have called and went to their establishments numerous times and left voicemails and they refused to see us and claimed every time we called Jennifer nor Laura were available and they would get back with us. They never responded or followed up with us. They even charged us an additional $500 fee for touch up paint when we cleaned the home, scrubbed the baseboards, windows and even got the carpet cleaned. The only door paint we couldn’t fix was the pantry door. The report sent to us was all 100% and Good standings yet they still took $794 from our security deposit. We took plenty of pictures and videos. I do not recommend renting from Southern Dreams Realty and they aren’t even accredited under the Bureau. Do not rent the property at Brazilian Drive because the owner is sneaky and will take your money with no explanation. Southern Dreams Realty will ignore you and make you feel you do not matter as the renters. I wish we would have read the reviews they come off as good people to get you in and then they ignore you once they basically met their quota to rent the home. Also, the home is not even 1700sqft it’s about 1400sqft which the owner isn’t being honest about either.

Property was beautiful and well kept. Showing agent, Lakeisha, was amazing. She knew exactly what was looking for and was very helpful with answering all my questions!

If you are considering renting from them - just know they are extremely unprofessional! They schedule appointments and don’t show up, they take forever to respond unless it’s an extreme emergency and they ignore questions about why they did anything wrong and act like everything is fine! Said they were coming at 9 for inspection and didn’t show, ignored texts from me and at 10:38 sent the name of who was coming and that they would “have him reach out”!! Never addressed the fact that they were supposed to be here at 9!! This is the 4th company I have rented from and the only one that does quarterly (actually any) inspections!

Apartments are trashed! Slack maintenance, never fixed anything. Had to clean when moved in, it was absolutely filthy. Weird smell that never went away, spent hundreds on air fresheners. Then they have the nerve to charge me for blinds that were tore up when I moved in and a cleaning fee. I cleaned it spotless before I left. Guess the next person will get charged for the holes in floor and door frame falling off. Trash, trash, trash!
