Surf Song is directly on Madeira Beach, and directly across the street from John’s Pass (boardwalk, ice cream shops, restaurants, souvenir shops, nightly entertainment, boat rentals, etc.) You could not ask for a better location.
The complex offers outdoor, covered parking, which we really appreciated. The pool area and pool itself was kept very clean. Bbqs on site as well. The building is a little dated/not modern but we loved it’s quaintness.
We stayed in unit # 350 and loved it : the apartment was clean, the furniture was beachy-nice, the kitchen was very well stocked with glasses, plates, platters, pots, etc. the shower was large with modern showerhead. The bathroom also had sufficient towels for 4 people as well as two rolls of toilet paper. Surf Song’s policy is that bed linens, bath towels, toilet paper and kitchen towels are replaced after 9 days. They provide the change but do not make the beds - it is up to the guests to do so.
To be clear, I prefer it this way as I rather that nobody comes into the apartment during our stay. We did need to buy our own toilet paper however as 2 rolls did not suffice for 4 people for 10 days. To be fair, we did not ask the office for more so cannot say if they would have supplied more upon request.

The 3 suggestions that I would make:
1- have a handyman urgently take a look at the elevator - the sound going up was very scary - it felt like the cables would give way at any moment!
2- the mattresses could use an upgrade as we sank towards the centre of the bed
3- VERY Important - the parking spaces are numbered to match the condo door number - this is horrible in my opinion and made us feel unsafe. I suggest that the numbering be assigned randomly, and NOT match the door number.

Customer service was fabulous - communication was clear and quick at all times. A huge shout out to Dawn 😁.

Excellent location right on the beach and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Room has not been refreshed for about 15 years and is a bit worn out.

Stayed in room 343 for a week after Mothers Day 2024. From the moment we got there until the moment we left, we loved every minute of our stay. The ladies in the office were warm and welcoming upon arrival and answered every question we had about the property and had great advice about the surrounding area.
The unit itself was very nice. Had a very nice beach vibe throughout. From the paint, decor, and bedding, everything felt exactly how we had hoped for a nice relaxing vacation. There were beach chairs and toys to use which was a nice surprise. Appliances were new and large TVs in every room.
The property was also nice. Clean pool area. Lots of outdoor seating and tables to use. A shower to rinse off after being in the water or walking the beach. And the location could not get better. You are so close to the beach you can leave your condo barefoot and be on the beach in seconds. All the guests that were there during our stay were laid back, quiet, and respectful.
Had a wonderful time while we were there and will definitely come back for another stay. Thank you for the memories! 🏝

Some may say that they are close to John Pass, but Surf Song is directly across the street from John Pass. I've seen some mention of needed updates. However, I couldn't complain as the property has been well kept and maintained. Our unit was cozy and quiet. Having direct beach access was nice. It's also a short hop to Treasure Island and even Clearwater Beach. Surf Song is probably best for couples or small families, but Sunhost Resorts provides property management and has larger options to accommodate bigger parties. Check out their website. Really enjoyed our stay and can only imagine that you would too.
