I wouldn’t waste my time with these people. I had to send so much personal information to apply without even have seen the house inside. To just get denied after payment because they were not able to verify information and lack of references?! What a joke. Their reviews speak for themselves. Update I went through Eola Realty and had a much better experience. They were prompt and got us approved within a day after viewing the home. Their process was smooth and application so much cheaper. Having these people deny us was a blessing in disguise indeed.

Stay away from The Jander Group for management and rental services. This company undervalues their customer’s homes to employ sleazy and pressuring sales tactics on prospective tenants. Micheal will be pushy and dishonest through the application process just to collect your application fee and allegedly lease the house to someone else after lying to your face about availability.
The application process is extremely intrusive and tedious while their leasing agents won’t even review the references provided and delay your application by asking for other information rather than calling the provided contacts. Then, they will “deny” you with Adverse Action you after they lease to someone else citing their lack of due-diligence in contacting provided references, just so they can keep their hefty application fee.

It’s interesting that the application fee is double the market rate while the advertised signing rent is 10-20% under market rate.

I’m glad to no longer be doing business with The Jander Group

EDIT: To clarify, I did provide statement proof of monthly payments to a friend in accordance with a signed, legally binding, and in effect lease. After leasing the property for which I applied and confirmed available to another individual, The Jander Group then offered to lease me a more expensive house. My application was clearly no issue for The Jander Group.
Their “smart” retort further illustrates their lack of due diligence and shady business practices.

I was a tenant from 2018 to the beginning of 2024. Jander required a larger than average security deposit due to my lack of rental history. 5+ years provided time for a lot of wear and tear. I feared I'd be an easy target especially after reading other reviews. The contractually required cleaning cost $800 which seemed insane but I complied. I received the check today from Jander with minimal contact from them, a bad sign I assumed but I was wrong. I received 91% of my deposit and agree and admit to the charges deducted. They were more than cordial about visits through the years and respected our privacy. They were mostly prompt about service calls and professional and fair. That's my experience. 4/5 Only because they restricted my ability to pay digitally for 1 year. I violated a rule and paid the contractually applicable price but I feel like they could have waived that.

As a landlord, I have had a long 25 years’ association with Jander. During this period, my experience with them has been exemplary including timely payment deposits, communications of lease renewals, monthly and EoY statements, and proactive notifications during hurricane season.

PLEASE READ BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH JANDER GROUP: If you are a tenant and you are considering renting from Jander Group, DON’T. They will take your money any way they can and completely waste your time. Whether you take pictures or videos it doesn’t matter. If I could give them negative 5 stars, I would.
When I first started with Jander Group everyone was so nice & friendly. It’s all a scam. From the reviews it looks like they treat their property owners pretty well. Wish I could say the same for their tenants. I dealt with Michael, Kathy, & Nicholas (all unhelpful & ignore emails) but Nicholas is by far the most disrespectful, rude, selfish, greedy man I have ever dealt with. He has given me such hell, made accusations I was lying, kept putting words into my mouth, & talked down to me like I was dirt. Most UNPROFESSIONAL experience I have EVER had.
He charged me $125 cleaning fee when I left the unit in maid clean condition as asked. I even sent him photos to prove it (attached) and he still said he was not going to give me my money to stop my “complaining”. He was so rude & condescending in his emails that I was shocked I was speaking to the president of the company. I couldn’t believe that even though I submitted proof I left the unit in clean condition, he still said he wasn’t going to be “unfair to the property owner” and give me my money back. The property owner? What about me? I did what I was asked yet I still get my money STOLEN from me. Thieves. And the way they handle business is outrageous.
And not only did they keep a big portion of my security, they charged me for 1 & a half months rent because they were going off of my renewal lease. I signed a renewal lease over the holidays & signed it pretty quickly because they gave me 5 days before Christmas to sign. I was going away for the holidays so I signed and returned it quickly. My mistake. About 2 weeks later I emailed them asking to VOID the new lease because I was no longer able to rent the unit due to a family issue. I gave 50 days notice but thought it was more than enough time since they gave me 5 days for the renewal. Nicholas stated he wouldn’t penalize me which I thought meant for not giving them 60 days because in his email he stated he would do his best to rent the unit by the end of my CURRENT LEASE. My CURRENT lease ended 02/28/18. My current lease was not over yet. But he did not void the renewal lease like I asked & instead held me to the new lease standards & charged me these fees since they hadn’t found a renter yet. EVEN THOUGH I told them to make it available ASAP & I will move out sooner if needed. I was very cooperative with them & they were all jerks. Everyone stopped responding & when I brought it to Mr. Musashe’s attention, crickets. But then wants to charge me $150 for utilities & March 2-14 paid. But yet I was expected to leave the utilities on until March 14th but expected to return my keys by the 2nd. And even though I brought up my concern of leaving the utilities on for HIS employees and not knowing if they’ll turn everything off, I was still expected to leave the utilities on until the 14th. So I didn’t. I turned them off when I turned in my keys LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE WOULD. Here comes Kathy telling me to turn the power back on. I explained my concerns & not only did she not respond, she also didn’t bother to advise that $150 would be taken out of my security for it. And the whole year I lived in that STUDIO apartment, I never paid more than $40 a month for a light bill. So to be charged $150 for 10 days was INSANE! And I asked Nicholas NUMEROUS times why it costs $150 for 10 days and he never answered my question. He actually avoided any questions I had in regards to the lease, his employees not responding to emails, and why I wouldn’t receive my money if I submitted proof.
Just know this, if you are interested in renting from Jander Group, be prepared to lose your money and be talked down to like you’re dirt. They only care about their property owners. They can care less about their tenants. VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

We have been very satisfied with the services of Jander Group. Jander Group has managed our property for over 7 years. We started off renting our home on our own and then spent a short, difficult time with a start up management company that did a poor job. We found Jander Group and the company was exactly what we needed for property management as owners. We had to move several times because of job transfers and it provided peace of mind that our rental property in Winter Park, FL was always properly taken care off. Jander Group found reputable tenants and probably addressed maintenance issues in a timely manner over the years. They used reputable repair companies and the management fees were very reasonably considering all that it covers. Finally, when we decided it was time to sell the property we worked with Jander Group to sell our property. We highly recommend Jander Group for property management.

I only hit one star so I could write about this disgusting lies after lies. 17 years of renting and they rent it quickly as they rent it for undermarket value. They think you are dumb and when I get back to Florida the legal actions begin with them as my unit has been not shown or rented for several months now and as the B.S. contract which goes on and on after the tenant lease expires they all of a sudden try to rent my unit with 2 months remaining on the contract from He'll so they can get another round of commission. I see tenants are also screwed by them but believe me they are and have always been about themselves. Period they don't care about any client from what I read again and again but I have my own nightmare which I will go into greater detail on another post. MANY MANAGEMENT COMPANIES I'VE DEALT WITH BUT AS BAD AS A FEW WERE. NOTHING AND I DO MEAN NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS LIE AFTER LIES COMPANY AS I HAVE EVERYTHING DOCUMENTED AS MY ATTORNEY SAID I JUST CAN'T USE MY RECORDED PHONE CALL AS I KNEW ALREADY ABOUT RECORDED CALL LAWS IN FLORIDA. Absolutely the worst. We occupy office space that is managed by Jander group. Their management is horrific.

Everything that needs to be repaired takes weeks.

We have been waiting weeks for a competent plumber to repair a leaking urinal. Now they want us (as tenants) to send movies of the issue before they will send out a plumber.

They are often rude, and their subcontractors are incompetent.

I would look elsewhere if you need building management.
