Cut my bike lock because it wasn’t locked in a bike rack? No signs posted. Maybe if you want people to follow directions how about you post some signs that inform the public of things that aren’t allowed. I’m from a state where nobody gives a crap about where you chain your bike. Not even a grace period for something that isn’t made public? “Oh we don’t chain bikes there in Florida” I live here now but this is absurd. Who will be paying for my $90 lock? Be real post it or pay for my lock.

BEWARE of parking in Fort Lauderdale- serious flaws. Have you been a victim!

Always place your printed ticket on your dashboard.

Apparently you can pay by phone even though your phone doesn’t print out a paper ticket to put on your dashboard. Thus you’d think that once your license is entered into a machine in the parking lot and you pay then your ok. You may be VERY WRONG!

Do NOT make the logical assumption that entering your license plate number into the parking machine prevents a parking ticket because it’s’ in the system’. It doesn’t. Only leaving it on your dashboard does. Apparently the city enforces parking on public and private lots like ‘las Olas Company’ parking lot. It’s NOT at all easy to tell the difference for a tourist. The private lot machines according to the enforcement official we met upon returning to our car and another I called from the number on my violation do NOT communicate with the city system who enforces the parking!!!

You can NOT take care of this by phone even if you have the official looking code on your parking receipt!!!

I was told that You must either show up during business hours (not fun to do on vacation!) or send in the ORIGINAL and hope the original is not lost (a copy is apparently not accepted by the person I spoke to).

The signage to describe this is POOR. It’s not on the machines and not on any signs I could see. It’s only in SMALL print (not presbyopia friendly!) at the bottom of your receipt.

As you can see from the photos, the license number WAS entered correctly into the system and the time had NOT expired but it didn’t matter!

It was not a fun use of my time to drive down to get this taken care of during business hours.

Anyone know what city official and what Las Olas Company representative is responsible for this poor system?

I wonder how many have been issued tickets under such circumstances?

This company is a real piece of work so people, please be very careful where you park if you’ll be in the Ft Lauderdale area!! The public parking areas of this company has double charged me & on a different occasion months later, when I entered my car tag information I made the mistake of entering the first two letters backwards so because of that I was given a fine of $75. I went ahead & emailed them all this information including pictures of both my car tag & my receipts showing that info was there just the first 2 letters I entered backwards!! I never got any response from them so days later I took it upon myself to call them & confirm they had received my email with the pictures, the woman who answered my call was not helpful, I tried my best to explain to her my troubles but all she kept telling me was the tag didn’t match my receipts so when I asked to speak with a manager/supervisor she denied to transfer my call because they would just tell me the same thing she kept telling me😡😡
