Awful, unacceptable service. Since Wagner Realty took over Las Hermanas on Longboat Key the property went from adorable well kept property to a dump. First thing they did was double the price for rental and you would think they would have kept it up , but no. Trash around property, broken furniture, foot washes, etc. My sister and mom recently rented one of the units. Supposedly unit was clean and ready for rental. They entered to the sounds of a chirping smoke detector that obviously needed new batteries. After unpacking went outside for some fresh air, my mother sat in one of the chairs and fortunately my sister was there to avoid a fall because chair was broken. When they went inside to use the bathroom found toilet had no water and didn’t work. Called Shawn to notify her and she told them to move to another unit because she didn’t have anyone that could come out and fix. So, repack and move to the unit next door. Again , welcomed by a chirping smoke detector in that unit as well. On Monday renovations to property ( which Shawn said was to begin the week they left) started with pressure washing roof so no going outside to avoid water coming down. Next day all windows taped up to prepare for painting so no views of outside and no outside to enjoy because workers present preparing building. Next landscaping, palm and bush trimming blocking all paths to the beach and outside space.
Owner of property was on site and didn’t care about the situation and just said it was going to look good. My sister only received minimal compensation after she talked to Shawn. When I called Shawn to discuss situation she told me she couldn’t talk to me and that my sister had to call her if she hd any problems. My aunt passed away 10 days prior and my mom and sister cared for her the last month of her life when she was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal brain tumor and they rented at Las Hermanas where they have rented for many years to get away for much need rest and renewal.
